  1. How about . Spend 5 yrs getting planning Spend 12 yrs building / procrastinating . Can’t make this stuff up ! 😊
  2. Yes ! Also ; look at job . Not understand job . Vaguely recall you did job previously . Realise job was wrong . Look at job again . Say out loud (expletive deleted) this . Stick nose in fridge .
  3. Oi @joe90 !!. Waiting on my final sap and epc and then SIGN OFF! . Doesn't mean it's complete ; but technically finished!!
  4. CBA can be fatal . Look at the job , think about the job . Do something else .
  5. Back butter tiles . Adhesive on wall and notch . Don’t want any hollows especially if anything is mounted to the tiles . Though back buttering not strictly necessary for wall tiles …
  6. Must admit on 1 particular wall I noticed this . I would tile a section a day . 2nd day ( did as you did - put a straight length against tile faces ) I could see wall was bent . Wasn’t going to rip all those expensive tiles off the wall . So I ‘gently’ went with the bend . Can you see it ? . Nope . The ‘bend’ is over a longer run so easier to hide . Then once shower cubicle , toilet etc etc all wall mounted it is imperceptible ( unless you (expletive deleted)ing look for it ) . Lesson learnt by me . Professional tiler should have learnt that lesson some time ago !
  7. Or … join cables with this gel box

  9. Hmmmm ; I’ve got around 900 and since Thursday been adding them in to their template. Getting a bit bored now 😝
  10. Trust me . Top quality . Xr batteries can shag in time . But that’s after 100’s of charges .
  11. I like "music room" aka sex dungeon and also "control room " presumably the cctv recording and editing suite? Once chained the thoughts of "how do you overcome cold bridging " will become a distance memory as you experience the pleasures.....
  12. I don't own this particular saw but as it's the yellow and black dream machine it's bound to be top notch!
  13. Welcome ! , looking good fella 👍
  14. 🤠👍
  15. I have this unit and was prepared to add a boost maybe linked to HA . What I found is the unit boosts really quickly automatically so it wasn’t necessary. If you shower then within 10 seconds it ramps up . I did make sure the vent pipe runs to bathrooms and en-suites were really short I.e mvhr unit is near too these .
  16. I didn’t have the knowledge or money , but I did it . Now though I still don’t have the knowledge nor money 🙄
  17. I did my stud and boarding much to everyone’s humour . Only one small place where I missed a stud - thought (expletive deleted) it be ok . Only place of course the plaster has cracked …. Noggins become your new friend
  18. Oh I know a few tricks 😉
  19. I know a few aswell that I recommend in Bristol

    About fecking time 👍🥳🤣
  21. Yeah I went underground for a variety of reasons. Indeed I then increased the space underground ; as you say - difficult to object to something you can't see. Walk on glazing is MUCH more expensive now. I would say the price has quadrupled since 10 yrs ago. I do know a company that seem pretty price competitive on this though. Used them a few times for those bits of glazing I 'missed'. PM me if you want their details.
  22. For me I would have ( seriously ) gone another level underground. Oh ; I can imagine planning shitting even more bricks at that . Maybe a bit more care on things ; like , um , let me think 🤔…. Walk on glazing . There said it ! Probably should have consumed more wine and steak .
  23. I had a few trays and naturally assumed supplied waste would be good . Eventually as advised on here I gave up ( I couldn’t stop them leaking no matter how hard I tried ) . Got a proper waste and trap . Instantly felt better as I installed it . Neither have leaked since .
  24. Wastes supplied with trays are almost universally shite !
