I have a question If I buy another UniFi AP and install at the end of an rj45 ( to increase WiFi range ) does it ‘share’ the first units ssid ? I.e you can roam between them oblivious to the fact of which one you are connected too ?

Hmmmmm, took the AP unit home i.e. to my network. The option to 'proceed to webpage' was there!!! It's not a 'router' config option is it??? i.e. to do with my hub?

No. Just the option to 'go back' i.e. back to the previous webpage. or show details; when gives no options.

Got my first Unfi AP Ac lite Using my mac . Downloaded the unficontroller but as soon as it launches in a browser window get 'this is not a private connection' Been googling keychains and stuff - but can't seem to get this working. LOL! You can insult me I don't mind. Yes I'm using a crimping tool. I should point out it's one of those ebay kits: crimper, rj45 heads, tester, cutter etc. all for 8 quid! What through me is the first attempt only 2 pins didn't light up on the tester - so I thought that's not bad for the 1st attempt 2nd attempt zero lights! ; not one ! - I'm thinking but surely you would expect at least 1 pin to make contact! So I'm going to go against the moto and blame the tool. There's just no way (I did 15 today!) that I'm going to get it so wrong that many times! Push thru crimper will be ordered! Will report back with hopefully 100% success rate. But agree with @JSHarris that as a few wires have to 'cross' over others must cause some issues.
