  1. Yeah I can’t find any flush or near flush ones ...
  2. Ok ! https://www.safelincs.co.uk/lumi-plugin-standard-downlight-smoke-alarm/ ouch on the price though !
  3. Got to have mains powered interlinked battery back up ones installed . Problem I find is they all look rather like a “ smoke alarm “ - kind of destroys the clean contemporary look . Cant seem to find any slimline ones or even better recessed ones . Anyone else had any luck ?
  4. If you require a spinny laser buy the cheap Chinese stuff off eBay . I had no issues ! if you require a really nice vertical and horizontal line level laser I recommend the dewalt . It was hard to justify the cost so I got a 2nd hand one off eBAy - now , I don’t know how I managed without it !!
  5. Where’s that F off emoji ....
  6. Ffs ! It better be rubbish after all my trials . Don’t think I’ll be allowed to my site tomorrow to test it !
  7. Looking online at the blurb it claims there is a "stud finder" in the kit. Now as I am THE expert on this subject I'm rather concerned if THIS thing is it.....
  8. I wish there was an emoji for F OFF! ??
  9. So ! As I’m an electrician ( ?? ) decided to buy a nice Makita set of electrical tools . But I can’t figure out what this blue thing is - thought it was some kind of pendulum level ; but I don’t think so ...
  10. Chris Rhea isn’t it ???
  11. Ah sorry ; got the title wrong forgot to add 2020 . Still waiting for @Onoff to finish /start the bathroom ! Happy Christmas to all !!
  12. I wasn’t 100% sure so thought worth mentioning....
  13. Even though I’ve yet to even turn ours on it made absolute sense . Air tight house ; have to remove moisture somehow . Trickle vents are like a cheap bodge - of some but limited use . The fact in an area one vent drags stale air out and the other pushes fresh warmed air in will create a new cycle of good air . Be hard to compare how it ‘feels’ as a before and after as it’s a new build . Just seemed a sensible thing to do . Not many negative posts on mvhr on this forum .
  14. I did think it had to be a dry trap ??
  15. It’s easy to give up . In my experience after 5 years fighting planning my assumption is that everything is designed so that you give up and quit . You don’t do that - no matter what ! ?
  16. Lol Had this conversation- this is just for sensors . Solid cable to jacks etc . Yet to be done !
  17. Currently pulled through 300metres of stranded 1 at a time so I can label as I go . Not even half way yet ! ?
  18. Nah - don’t like tenants having gas . Gone for electric oven and induction hob - electrician will run a new feed for hob .
  19. Ok it’s crap . 32A for hob ; seperate supply
  20. This pack suggests it’s ok ???? https://www.myappliances.co.uk/prod/Oven-Hob-Packs/art50606-oven-and-hob-pack.htm?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6YWNuJup5gIVybHtCh0cuwG7EAQYAiABEgJsXPD_BwE
  21. I guess an induction hob equally draws little current. Are most electricians qualified to cap the gas so a swap to electric can be made ?
  22. Actually ! Can I replace this gas oven with an electric one ? . Electric ovens require their own dedicated wire and fuse ? - or do they come with a plug i.e just plug in and go ...
  23. Hey all Do gas ovens have fans ? IMG_0441.MP4
  24. I do unfortunately ??
