  1. Yes 200mm . Thicker white pipe is AAV So this type of arrangement ? Or is this better ? AAV pipe with pink arrow . Boss strap straight off WC waste - still over 200mm from pan exit
  2. Erm ! Ok that’s not a problem if I move along my soil pipe I.e away from this wc . Which regs ? I’ve not seen that mentioned before . So is it critical ( or not ) that it’s not at the end of the soil pipe ?
  3. Will take advice on a boss strap for AAV - but it would be before this wc ( rather than after I.e the last thing on the soil run )
  4. Well ! After a struggle I re designed how I would do this so I could glue 1 part as I go . Deliberately allowing for 1 easy joint at the end . Marked with tape depth for each fitting and then a biro mark to ensure line up . Was a right PITA ! But now done ! ( unless it leaks ) Just need @Big Jimbo to say “ looks like a brilliant job “ to make my life complete !
  5. I know . I want to finish my soil pipe before the lockdown ends
  6. If I follow @Onoff ‘s example of 1 joint overnight - it would take me a month !
  7. crumbs ! Come back after 30 seconds ! ?
  8. I’m going to blame him aswell then !
  9. A lesson for a novice might be to not build an underground house . No drama will fix it and weld it with joy !
  10. Very helpful appreciated!
  11. I’ve read this a few times . Not sure I get what you are suggesting - sorry .
  12. Wanted solvent weld . Now I have some tiger sealant on the way that will buy me time . Solvent weld I still think is exactly what’s needed for this situation
  13. Ordered a tube of tiger seal . Anything more than 30 seconds would be good . I just used what plumbing website had . If this is just as good but gives time then that is mega helpful ! ?
  14. Yeah ? I was using the usual flo plast stuff
  15. STOP F ‘ing laughing EVERYONE !
  16. It was the right call . This joint ( probably less than a mm gap ) I can see daylight . Doesn’t show in the photo but it’s there . I need to construct a way where I can piece by piece assemble and glue with less time constraint v2
  17. Part of the problem was I needed ‘play’ to fit all this so I unclipped the geberit pan end. Just gave me enough wiggle room . But once glued I had to run upstairs and position the toilet pipe again ( wasting valuable seconds ) . Anyway ! Here I can see not fully inserted - so will never know if it was 100% leak proof .
  18. Ffs ! I’ll cut the bitch out !!! ?
  19. You mean ‘plug’ the fitting to the other toilet ? . Don’t have one to hand and of course no builders merchants open !!!
  20. I currently have another toilet connection to make before the soil pipe could be filled . I should finish this other joint . Block the drain ( best way to do that ? ) . Then fill the entire pipe until I can actually see it in the toilet fitting waste
  21. Ok . Exactly what do I need / do for an air test ?
  22. Yet I thought of that . Sharpie tends not to show up on black pipe . But with hindsight used tape or something as a marker
  23. You mean block the drain ?? To stop it emptying so fast ?
  24. Ok ! zero leaks ! Ran it for a few minutes then opened hose to max . Not a drop . I will cement the joints then wait for 5 years time that ‘brown drip’ on my head ... ??
  25. Going to water test it now ?
