  1. Braved it again . Then cut the remaining bits out by hand using a jigsaw blade . Nibblers have there own mind what to break . So best way to bed this ? . Certainly can’t put a levelling attachment across this joint
  2. I plunged cut the initial opening . But then when ‘nibbling’ snapped it . I can probably cut it without snapping . But bedding it on the wall without snapping it will be tricky
  3. Can’t find overlap details online but a plate seems to be 24cm x 16cm . That only allows 5mm or so either side ? Even if I do cut that tile ok - bedding it without is snapping will be a dog . Can I cheat ? . Do the rest of the tile with adhesive and that sliver with ct1 ? ( Assume that will exert less pressure on the tile and avoid it snapping . Suggestions welcome !
  4. Oh you dog ! Got to do a skinny cut for tile to go over flush . Of course it snapped ? Can anyone tell me the overlap of a geberit flush plate ? . If it’s 15mm or so then I’ll just do a cut piece and hide the joint
  5. I just use an sds mixer attachment for my drill
  6. Yeah , sometimes it seems to like that . It’s like a woman . You can’t be quite sure what to do but you can bet it will be wrong .
  7. Nothing bad to hide . Pure skill ?
  8. Yes re usable . I’m on it boss !!?
  9. I do try ! . Scared of ‘moving’ things !!
  10. You saying it looks sh*te then ? ? Only question you really need to answer is .... ” Does it look better than @Onoff ‘s ? “ ??
  11. My testies have grown a bit today
  12. Ok , so done a few more cuts . The pump is funny - sometimes it wants to work standing up ; other times lying down . Strange there’s no proper ‘holder’ for it in the tray . So I always before a cut have to make sure I can see water at the blade . Things I do like . Almost zero mess . Zero wobble in the tray as you slide a tile in . I had to trim 2mm off a tile - it did it without breaking the off cut . Don’t think that would be possible on a ‘normal’ wet cutter . Nice big on/off button facing you - not hidden on the side . Sits nicely on the stand (d240001) - no back ache cutting . Good visibility as you cut - just look slightly off centre and can see blade cutting tile . Obviously I’m probably using about 10% of its ability . But it makes cutting less of a pita . Though it is a big beast - so only for big jobs ( like tiling an entire house ) . Tool for real men ??????
  13. I know . But I only cut 2 tiles the day before . Googled it and it seems to be a bit temperamental - not on the motor running but on sucking . Everyone loves a good suck ?
  14. 3mm - might as well be 3 metres . Pathetic effort ! ??
  15. Or both ....
  16. Wish it was wine bottles
  17. You think that’s still to much gap ? Above the flush pipe ? - really got to be that tight . Assume you mean this cut
  18. Don’t worry ! I’ll make mine superior to yours ?
  19. I was thinking this type of cut . 2 bits of paper obviously 1 tile !!
  20. Nah - no one ever sees it ! . That’s just macho sperm ?
  21. No plan was all inline I.e vertical grout lines top to bottom . Regarding around flush etc. my plan was just a square cut out to surround them all
  22. eBay one ? struggled with it first of all . As you turn the red key it reduces the thread but turns a metal T . All sounds good . But if metal tee gets between tiles rather than under it pushes them apart . Not used it before so might just me being crap . Still trusted spirit level more ...
  23. I was always under the impression tiling was a relaxing therapeutic past time .... STRESS !! . That’s it for today ! Paranoia wins . I’ll let those set and carefully remove the timber tomorrow. All level horizontal and vertical . Though where the tile backer board has bent due to its fixing I have to add more adhesive . I messed up first of all; had my spirit level horizontal across 2 tiles showed the corners ‘dipping’ inwards . Couldn’t get them off the wall ! . Eventually they did . You are meant to remove 1 to check how much adhesion is visible on the back of the tile . I’m at 99% I think . Probably making the adhesive 2 thick - will do a softer mix tomorrow.....?
  24. Got ya ! . I’ll get the cuts around the flush pipe tight and neat
  25. Hmmmm working now . A less than perfect cut - but as below pan not an issue I assume . But how do you prevent the ‘over cut ‘ I.e you have to cut into the tile face further than you want . Cut from back side rather than face ??
