Beggars can’t be choosers ! How ducking sad are we on a Saturday night !

That rumours not true . I piss and sh*t standing up like a proper man !

Your rubber ducky bath buddy looking well (expletive deleted)ing miserable ?
-
I’d miss the pan slashing looking at that . But that’s why you have a wet room . So wee finds a drain , ignoring the yellow stained floor grout

That blind would distract rnib

Inline . Got to be easier . But not like yours ; mine *will* be inline ?

You bone who you want !

First round of ct1 around tray edges . Took a whole tube . Left each side so it drops . Then go over it again . Leave that now ready for Monday and ct1 with ‘ up stand ‘

You can be my apprentice- learn and watch the master in action . ??

Will use a wall levelling system don’t worry about that .

One thing confuses me . If there’s so much adhesive squeezing out it can knock other tiles . Also you need to clean that all out the gaps where the grout goes . So you are kind of making a f ing mess . See what the welsh boss says ....

Yeah the rips I get . I have a sloping ceiling so if I do get rips i want them at the highest point of the ceiling not lowest where they are visible . Intend to tile first ‘round’ half a tile or so off the floor . I’m guessing though as toilet and shower on same wall I can’t get an arrangement that has a whole tile on both . I might need to ‘play’ and pick a compromise . So ! On the walls do I stick adhesive all over and notch ? - back buttering the tiles ? . Seen videos where they just dot and dab ....

Quick question . I believe Mastik won’t stick to cured Mastik . Fresh ct1 WILL stick to cured ct1 ? ( just thinking of the 2 rounds of ct1 around the tray )
-
And so my thoughts move to @Onoff ‘s favourite subject - tiling . How do I line these horizontally ? What I mean is do I avoid a grout line over the toilet flush ? Over the shower controls ? Does it matter ? . What tiling ‘rules’ should I follow . Tiles are SWMBO choice ( obviously ) . Though I do like the subtle honey comb effect

So if I tell you there’s just 3 blobs of ct1 under there it’s ok ? To my grave it will go . I did do one thing Nick . On the Marine ply I scribbled nick from wales was ‘ere Then when it leaks and a proper plumber takes the tray up he’s bound to ask “ which joker installed this ? “ There will be your name ... ?

Worn out . Had a session ( joke for @Onoff there ) with my PT - knackered me . Now had that tray in and out half a dozen times . Hard work on your own .
-
Looking up under . The trap is a bit tricky to fit . Will break more of that block out . Also can just about access with a multi tool and cut that corner of ply sticking out . Trap might clear it anyway ... Would put a photo of the tile adhesive blobs up before laying the tray ; but afraid someone will say they are wrong . Fancy a private PM of it Nick ? But you can’t ever share ( unless it’s right ) . Either way it’s on the ply so very little movement and tray ain’t every coming up anyway .
-
Done . Blobbed tile adhesive as Nick said . Gone down to the ply so I think good coverage . Also scrubbed the underside of the tray as advised before laying . One (expletive deleted) up though . As I’m slightly further from the rear wall a small section of marine ply is just on the edge of the trap . I can feel it with my fingers . Awkward but I’ll have to cut that out from underneath somehow . Problem for next week . Just to prove its level ...
-
Mine too . I’ll fit that once tray is in
-
Stupid question number 10000 The rubber gasket appears to sit nicely on the waste ( ribbed ) . But does the gasket go under the tray or ontop ? im guessing on top ...
-
I think once in I shall re tank the bit 300mm around tray as bound to of scratched it
-
Right ! Better fit . Sat on ply now . Gap at that tight end better a bit . Can force the nozzle in there ! Used my glazing sucker to help move ( why do I have one of those ? ? )
-
Guessing the issue must be my mis placed tanking strip on wall to floor junction - below tray level . Will rip that out
-
Tried one of @Nickfromwales tips suggest of hammering the ct1 applying nozzle . The tray at the moment won’t go down on the ply - about 5mm above it . Assume that’s not issue as I can easily gain 5mm with the adhesive. As the tray is can get tons of ct1 around the edge later - just one Uber Uber tight edge
