I know . But I only cut 2 tiles the day before . Googled it and it seems to be a bit temperamental - not on the motor running but on sucking . Everyone loves a good suck ?
-
3mm - might as well be 3 metres . Pathetic effort ! ??
-
Or both ....
-
Wish it was wine bottles

You think that’s still to much gap ? Above the flush pipe ? - really got to be that tight . Assume you mean this cut
-
Don’t worry ! I’ll make mine superior to yours ?
-
-
Nah - no one ever sees it ! . That’s just macho sperm ?
-
No plan was all inline I.e vertical grout lines top to bottom . Regarding around flush etc. my plan was just a square cut out to surround them all

eBay one ? struggled with it first of all . As you turn the red key it reduces the thread but turns a metal T . All sounds good . But if metal tee gets between tiles rather than under it pushes them apart . Not used it before so might just me being crap . Still trusted spirit level more ...

I was always under the impression tiling was a relaxing therapeutic past time .... STRESS !! . That’s it for today ! Paranoia wins . I’ll let those set and carefully remove the timber tomorrow. All level horizontal and vertical . Though where the tile backer board has bent due to its fixing I have to add more adhesive . I messed up first of all; had my spirit level horizontal across 2 tiles showed the corners ‘dipping’ inwards . Couldn’t get them off the wall ! . Eventually they did . You are meant to remove 1 to check how much adhesion is visible on the back of the tile . I’m at 99% I think . Probably making the adhesive 2 thick - will do a softer mix tomorrow.....?

Got ya ! . I’ll get the cuts around the flush pipe tight and neat
-
Hmmmm working now . A less than perfect cut - but as below pan not an issue I assume . But how do you prevent the ‘over cut ‘ I.e you have to cut into the tile face further than you want . Cut from back side rather than face ??
-
Argh tile cutter pump ain’t pumping !!!
-
Then that’s sorted ! Let the tiling commence !!!! ?
-
Dilemma ! As the most obvious visual thing with be the toilet flush decided to take the centre of that and work left and right . Means in the shower to the right Of the fitting there will be a 10cm wide cut . Bit narrow , but what else can I do ?!
-
Hmmmm These wall tiles are 50cm x 20cm . I’m laying them long ways . So it’s hard not to get a slim bit at the bottom or the top . I reckon bottom would be about 10cm and so would top sliver . I’m probably over thinking this . Once mirror , sink , toilet , shower door in ( all on this wall ) probably won’t see hardly any tiling anyway !! ?
-
Starting on this wall . Got a timber beam to hold first full bottom course of tiles. All seems level - might go a bit higher . Must avoid @Onoff ‘s rips on this facing wall at the top
-
There is zero play . Nothing moves or has a slight ‘wobble’ . It’s certainly built well . I have no excuses for poor tiling now except my lack of ability . So pretty much usual !
-
Yeah these are just some old b & q cheapy tiles . Find out with ‘real’ tiles later
-
Sample plunge cut - yes I know I’ve over cut just checking the plunge . So much less mess than with a normal wet saw !

Yes ! About to get a test !!

Lol “ transport in a van or SUV as it’s so large “ - or in my case a smart car ???
