Party wall act is expensive ( tell me about it ) . Depending on this situation you could ask for some cash settlement whilst keeping everything in writing between you and your neighbor. They probably won’t agree . But the cost of the party wall act can be punishing especially if you cause a fuss about *everything* as the neighbor gets the bill ….
Should of got them right at the start of the project!. But you know how it is, I'll just spend 50 quid here on these slightly wobbly stairs, they'll do.
Will get them in situ soon.
Like others I’ve used / tried various methods . Built my own stairs ? , bought a cheap straight pre made set .
But as we are moving on site soon I need something that is somewhat safer . Today this turned up with some requested customisation . It’s not tall enough deliberately to keep costs down and also it would be a pig to get under ground .
Sell this on when finished .
Extra support added - nothing fixed yet in case it’s wrong or just plain wtf !
In reality I’ve limited weight the hoist takes to 50kg . Staircase stringers are 100kg but upper end will hopefully stay where put On the ground .
@joe90 finally started on my crane ( ok a winch ) . 48mm Scaf pole bolted to concrete wall . Going to make an A shape brace at the top and bolt to wall also . Hoist winch support on order .
Got some of these . What fitting should I use to bolt these to concrete ?
These are clamps for 45mm Scaff . All fitting ( anchor bolts etc. ) I have ; all protrude too much .
I did think these planks didn’t rot , warp , fade I.e everything proof . That’s why I choose them - they do scratch easy though . So if it is efflorescence I’d be surprised. But if airflow is restricted then maybe that is the issue .
