Nah . No access . We have mega crane that front the street lifts straight over the build . Mega crane though translates into mega money
-
As before I have given up and simply will sort a crane . @Mr Punter you are quite right the next one will be worse as no wall . When will I learn and just get a crane straight away !? . Oh yes , I forgot my wallet tells my brain not too .
-
Not heavy ; just awkward . Each stringer 130kg
-
Might just spend the cash get a real crane in ! ? . Got the other stringer to do also …. Dead hard on your own !

I know . Can’t lift bottom to put anything under it as worried it will slip ( though could use hoist )

This just isn’t working Bolted timber to tread just bends . Did turn it by hand . Then tried to move into position and it just slipped back - couldn’t hold it . Chipped it ? So stuck like this for now . Problem with heavy physical stuff ; the more you try the more knackered and therefore weaker you get . So I need to stop for a re think
-
What’s the timber at the base for ? Also - what’s a “ helper “ ? ?
-
@Onoffso you saying fix a tread near the top and use that to lever it ‘upright ‘ ?
-
Tied a shoe lace to stop it sliding Not happy about that Perhaps this and a crap Fischer bolt into the top of the wall is better

I think I know what you mean - but diagram required before I attend hospital
-
Probably. But the only combat I’m having is against myself . Anyway who reads books
-

Got the new winch . Struggling too see how to lift it . Hook to large for holes . Straps to large for holes . They supplied some hooks ( assuming they are for lifting ) but don’t fancy my chances with them . Really need to lift it ‘ on its end ‘ rather than flat as it currently is … Is there some other ‘strap’ type thing that would suit this better ?

Apparently the entire front soffit , facia and guttering needs replacing - with scaffolding of course . Any idea of a ‘fair ‘ price for such a job ?
