  1. A man lives in Cornwall How long will he live ?
  2. Can we apply SMP to @Onoff ? A man tiles a bathroom; how long will it take him to make the ufh work?
  3. This deep in a forest off the beaten track?. You take people there yes?
  4. Someone you lay ?
  5. Yes . When she’s with you the capability to think is restricted/ removed .
  6. Is that the end of the scheme forever then ?
  7. Hence why I used an MCS approved installer - so assume sized correctly
  8. Wish you could. Save me a few quid!. Stop bitching and get an ASHP installed in your Cornish Pasty Heaven!
  9. I have some block paving for sell possibly . Nice design - long rectangular….
  10. If it’s any consolation I pay the gas/lecky bills at my HMO’s . So they’ve doubled ….
  11. I was always under the impression that the mcs was a bit of a waste of time I.e inflated install costs which you claim back later . My ASHP + install was around 7k - so it was FREE ! Turn your heating up a bit please ??
  12. My MCS has been approved. Not complaining at £320 per quarter for 7 years. So that covers the cost and installation of the ASHP.
  13. @Adsibob you need a 3rd opinion , not just yours and SWMBO . What does your mistress think ?
  14. Then you ain’t my tiler !
  15. I could never measure correctly- so I know that feeling
  16. Crumbs ! Can I be your IT guy ?
  17. My SWMBO can’t visualise either . I tell her it’s massive and she still can’t see it .
  18. Your SWMBO sounds like mine. But on a self build there are cunning ways to get her to agree . Take internal doors for example . She wants to have input on that . So I send her loads of links / photos etc . The response then is “ you choose I trust you “ - easy . I did the same with glazing , cladding , door handles , even tiles . Overwhelm a SWMBO with too many options and she’ll gladly pass the work your way ….
  19. No idea - but it’s a possibility !
  20. I can see we are going to have a nerd fight !
  21. Yes I.e if it’s removed you are still water tight
  22. I looked into this. I went for standard roof mounted PV because it was cheaper, more efficient , also if a panel does fail it doesn't affect the roof. But agree in-roof looks nicer.
  23. Simplified decision tree: 1) Do you want a happy life? N goto Q3 Y goto Q2 2) Conceed to SWMBO exit(0) 3) Do it your way and suffer for an eternity . exit (#FATAL_ERROR)
  24. Can we take bets on this ? I’ll put 1 zillion pounds on SWMBO winning
