12k ( the invoice doesn't break that down ). So that's an additional 4k PV with optimisers, new inverter, SE 10k battery, scaffolding, labour etc. ( no vat of course ). Also of course I have my original PW and PV costs. Installer told me wait for a Tesla is 18months and SE 9 months. They accept the deposit but can't guarantee the price; so if in 18 months time the price has inflated ( which we can assume it will ) then you get your deposit back. Equally, they can't guarantee stock that far in the future. Personally I'd find an installer - pay the deposit and wait ( to save!) at least you are in the very long queue.

Yes one thing that confuses me ; I’ve gone from a 4K pv array to 8k . Yet my pv generation is clipped at 3.66k ( due to inverter I assume ) . So what’s the real benefit of 4K over 8k in this situation? . Naturally my understanding is probably the flaw 😁🙄

Pv was 4kw with just PW pv now 8kw with optimisers, pw and se battery ( new inverter aswell ) Optimistic ? . Actually did it yesterday . 23kw 100% full and ended exporting 😁 Currently draining pw into my EV with the hope solar production will refill it today . In winter you are indeed correct . My ambition is at off peak rate to fill 23kw . Should in theory (!!!) never ever use peak rate again . Boom !

Se and pw playing nicely at the moment. Currently charging my EV at max rate (7.2kw ) . Pw supplying 5 . Solar currently less than 1 . Se picking up the slack .

If you really want cheap buy an old Cisco poe switch off eBay ( I have one lying around ) . Works fine - but even by after changing the 7 fans is too noisy . Those net gear ones are fanless 🙄 . You can have my poe switches if you want ( you can pay postage ) - think I’ve got 2 . So they are big and a bit noisy .

Just buy a poe switch then chain them together if you need more .

Installer confirms it doesn’t work as planned ( no shit ) I briefly spoke to SE - but it was a call centre so my patience is sapped in a few nano seconds . Might be possible with 2 inverters ; one as master other as slave . Not said anything to installer yet - they can work it out . If that is the solution and they come to me to stump up extra cash for a 2nd inverter - they can do one . Failing that 3 phase would solve the issue - but again I expect the installer to stump that up at 9k …
