  1. Ubiquiti ( spell check ! 😑 ) mesh hubs are really good . 2 of those in an average size house should easily give you good WiFi coverage throughout .
  2. We were both left it as part of our inheritance!
  3. Funnily enough it’s also my late fathers workbench ! Probably antique.
  4. This is happening!. The plan!. Macerator at WC ( no bitching about that ). Outlet's to about 1 metre high. Then a horizontal run with fall for about 14 metres ( also picking up sink/washer etc. waste ). This then into sump pumping station outside. What I 'improvised' though many years ago was just to deal with rainwater i.e. 2 zoller pumps to deal with rainwater. Question is now how to get a sump in there aswell or 'somehow' that the sump ( possibly a twin pump unit ) deal with rainwater aswell - making the the 2 pumps I have redundant. Suggestions welcome !
  5. Looking online I see some just have a overheat cut out . Presumably therefore they are not adjustable ? Also the price . From 40 quid to 250! I’ll grab some photos Monday before I do anything !
  6. Don’t know . Will look Monday . It’s not been adjusted since install ( over 3 yrs ago )
  7. Had one of these ‘trip ‘ a few times now I.e on the actual element not CU . What does that imply ? . Replace it ? . I assume need to drain the UVC ?
  8. @Onoff you’ve been busy again
  9. I understand what you’re saying . I didn’t phrase it particularly well . But point taken 👍
  10. Sure . If you know your time is limited then I’d assume you’d not worry about any ROI time . Only live once . Only 1 planet earth .
  11. Base of it just slatted timber ?
  12. SWMBO wants something like these . They are rather expensive to buy . But timber seems expensive also - what’s the cheapest suitable timber I could use ?
  13. “ high end “ is subjective . A ‘fantastic ‘ kitchen and bathroom with good finishes is important. I notice little things in other houses . Take taps for example ; they can look great - touch them and you can tell they are plastic not steel . Then I assume we have the illusion of expense without the real material . Light switches and sockets are a detail where plain standard white is just as functional as metal / glass ones - but gives a perception of ‘better ness ‘ . The “ over use “ of glass ; glass balustrade/ glass staircase etc. suggests high end I.e higher budget . But equally with some skill / planning you can make moderate costing items appear high end if customised e.g ikea wardrobes . Its a bit of an illusion unless you have buckets of cash . Also it’s relative to the properties value .
  14. Rubbing your inverter frantically now
  15. I know . In an era gone by . Now a great supplier of cream teas and fudge ( both euphemisms )
  16. Loves ya @joe90 ! It was all so obvious though ! . Gas is a limited resource . Finding new supplies and extraction can only ever cost more ! . Admittedly the sun is a limited resource and will expire eventually - but I think we’re ok for a bit ! 😁😁😁😁😎😉
  17. Wish I had the foresight to install PV and batteries .
