  1. I don’t care about my neighbors 😊
  2. Got ya Those new DNO rules only seem to apply to new connections forcing infrastructure upgrades . So I’m out of luck there . But ! I’m so far from my sub station apparently ( adding to the issues ) that I guess in time a new development could appear forcing the necessary upgrade .
  3. So the issue is raised voltage due to another ac inverter . No device that can limit this ?
  4. Yeah . So it’s an infrastructure upgrade required . So dno’s responsibility to do now ?
  5. Somethings not right . Heres the original reason for refusal I’m afraid we are unable to permit the installation of any additional generation at this property. The customer already has a significant export capacity (8.6kW) and therefore any additions to this would result in their volts (and those of their neighbours) being extremely high and certainly outside of statutory limits. Whilst in this instance the customer is on a lightly loaded LV main, fairly remote from the substation (both of which contribute to volt rise), I am yet to see an application of this size which can be permitted. Having almost 14kW of generator capacity on a single phase supply will always result in very high volts due to the imbalance created on the three phase network therefore is unlikely to be approved in any scenario.
  6. No . Right in a suburban area ! . DNO just wouldn’t allow due to infrastructure upgrades required ( apparently ) . But now ! - now I got them 😁
  7. Yeah I’m not convinced. But in theory DNO’s are going to have more difficulty rejecting ( or limiting ) things . I’m certainly looking into it . I *presume* also I could apply to increase by export limit of 3.66kwh . They gave me a merry dance last time - so will see what they say ….
  8. I see since April 1st DNO rule changes have been applied that infrastructure improvements may not be passed directly onto the customer https://ukpowersolutions.co.uk/2023/02/14/changes-to-electricity-connection-charges/ This means that maybe I can have another PW but with an export limit 😊 ; makes octopus flux look even better …
  9. Sorry @Nickfromwales your posts don’t seem to be appearing correctly. Wonder if I can do what you’ve done but with other 4 letter words ? 🤔
  10. It’s Amazon ; can always return 👍
  11. It does limit local purchasing options !
  12. Admittedly you can’t do this trick too many times . The other ‘cheat’ is receive say 30 lengths of timber . Call BM to complain ; that some are bent and unusable . They say if you send photos no need to return them and they’ll send out new . So just take 10 photos of the one bent one !
  13. Yes . Exactly that . I don’t know the total loads as I will undoubtedly add things over time . Might punt on @ProDave ‘s Amazon link . I have got a few cat5’s where I want them - but never enough - so trying to plan for future expansion.
  14. In BM open a box to “ check “ they are the correct screws . Then take said box to counter to get a discount because they are open and some could be missing .
  15. Problem is this hub is powered from a poe hub already . Are you saying inject for the 2nd hub and effectively that connects to the original hub non poe ? . If that makes sense …
  16. Yeah that was my main concern . If the switch is powered poe then it must have a draw off the ‘master poe switch ‘ + what it is supplying ….
  17. I’m sure this is possible … Rather than get multiple cat5 cables outside ( and it will never be enough ) can I have 1 cable going to a hub that’s powered off the poe but equally is poe ? Presumably the limitation with be the combined pull of poe devices plugged into this hub and equally the current pull of the poe hub that itself is connected too . This correct ??
  18. You get all the shit jobs But what about the trans poo toilet ?
  19. Cctv in bathroom . Bit of image analysis based on “ time spent doing “ then you can regulate a fan off that .
  20. Possibly. I didn’t want to “ make it worse “ by scrapping it . I recall when the roof was done that the asphalt wasn’t necessary ( I insisted on it ) ; as it’s a protective layer to the mono block substrate thingy ( something like that ) . Will give it a brush and see …
  21. Interestingly the bit before the black ducting seems ok …..
  22. My flat roof is special; as you can drive on it ( but no one has or will drive on it! ). I saw this by chance today. Scuffed it with my shoe ; didn't want to brush it and make it worse. Not sure if the asphalt is flaking off or not? ( roof probably 4/5 years old ) Or is it just crud? ; this area does seem to hold water a bit....
  23. An extra space believe it or not - which you couldn't 'see' as the curl line was split. Things like this shouldn't exist in 2023. Like on a webpage where you must enter the date and then it complains you need to put spaces in ( no; your code should do that ). Seems to be a common thing with postcode enteries. Don't get it. Validate the input pad/remove spaces etc. - basic stuff ffs! Anyway! - did my curl and something else is a miss now ( I was told the device id was 2 ; but I reckon it's 6 ) - either way inching forward...
  24. Trying to import curl command in postman and the error is "2 options less arguments found, only 1 is supported (the URL)"
