But isn’t that the issue ? . I want to charge both at 3.6kw simultaneously I.e draw 7.2kw - but only have 1 master inverter .
-
Thanks for that . I tend to ask DNO first for advice . They only help so far and then state they aren’t installers . My experience with installers varies - at the current inflated prices they charge I’d like to know what to ask - as sometimes you get rather different answers .
-
Nope ! If I could have another inverter connected directly to the grid then no issue . As I can’t I’m trying to draw more from the grid to allow simultaneous charging . Tbh I see it as no different as sticking another kettle on ….
-
Was incorrectly phrased . My objective is to charge 2 x 10kw batteries simultaneously at 3.6kwh - but with only 1 inverter grid connected . Hence this so called inverter behind inverter theory .
-
Sure . But does that mean each slave inverter can draw from the grid upto its max ?
-
Hypothetical question ! An inverter connected to grid . DNO will allow no further inverters I.e max output reached . I believe you can connect another inverter ( Slave ) to the original ( master ) . DNO happy with this as no effective change in what’s connected to the grid . Master inverter can output 3.6kwh I.e draw from grid Can slave ( assuming same spec as master ) do the same ? Appreciate limitation will be export which all goes through master inverter . Can both draw from the grid independently?

Pantry / utility aka dungeon 😉

Ffs ! It has been suggested many times on this forum ! ; as it allows time to fix joints ! . Usually I do normal solvent weld but on a tricky joint where I might need a bit of play I go pu route as it buys time . Ultimately does it matter ? . Honestly ! Follow advice on here . Quote it back at a later date . Then told it’s wrong !!

Push all the pipework together dry fit . Mark a line on each bit matching a line on the next . Glue with tiger seal or similar so no pressure to get right in 3 seconds . Easy peasey !

Now you know why my ceiling looks a mess 🤣👍

Nobody lives in Milton Keynes ; they simply exist .

I’m no fan of any party as they are all liars and self serving pricks . But ! I’ve got a feeling Labour might get in as obviously tories will be blamed for brexit , Covid , inflation , house prices etc. the list is endless . Labours current ‘ policies ‘ ( aka more bs for the electorate ) on housing rental and build are ridiculous. But then , if they win they then dilute what was promised and we end up with simply different shite .

It’s not the final inspection. I asked when to come out next , 6 yrs ago ; they said when finished . The only reason they’re out now I because I submitted a stair design for approval as recommended by the stair supplier . I woke the zombie !!! .Contractor on my site ? - that’s been me for the last decade 🤣👍

I was only being usual !

I agree 100% . I need to wait ( always difficult when you want to bury the (expletive deleted) ) . As I said my gut feeling is ; once I supply bs documents it will all fade away . But what a bs farce it truly is !
-
I agree ; it’s not a ‘nice ‘ arrangement. I probably years ago forgot and designed the door to be more suitable/ normal . As I mention I’ll get over this issue !!
-
Bco also lying or ‘suddenly ‘ catching up . All these things were noted 6 yrs ago - but no one told me ! . Gut instinct is they probably were noted . Now bco wants to cover his arse ….

Photo attached of typical steel . The ceiling tile company can only supply a fire rating based on a ‘test’ from the manufacturer of a test setup they’ve constructed to get a fire rating ! . I’ve sent bco the 75 page report 🫤
-
Thanks . That’s a good plan . It’s all about someone taking liability !
-
Wouldn’t surprise me . My only real concern is the rsj’s not fire proofed - nothing in my plans for that though admittedly it does show them plasterboarded over and mine aren’t . So we will now continue the argument of does the suspended ceiling provide 30 mins fire protection…

Oops my bad!. Missed this one!! Bathroom door does open inwards when it shouldn't. The argument he gave was if someone fell on the floor in the bathroom you can't open it because their body is in the way. I've emailed back to BCO and said but if the bathroom door opened outwards and I was in the bathroom and someone collapsed outside the bathroom I can't get out. I then suggested if 2 people either side of the door collapsed neither could get out due to being unconscious and the other in the way. Perhaps bathrooms should have no doors. He's yet to reply to that.

No warranty provider . I always keep emails and have photo’d everything . It’s like he wants the cemex spec for (expletive deleted)ing blocks for example . To ask for things they noted 6 yrs later is a piss take . But I’ll wait and see how it plays out initially …
