  1. I have more cctv than the local brothel . Problem is neighbors complained . Therefore they only overlook my property . My ‘driveway ‘ is beyond a 6ft wall - so cameras mounted on my house can’t see nowt past the wall . My own fault ; especially as I considered the risk …
  2. Couldn't move all nearly 3 tons from exposed driveway to underground before we went away on the weekend. Came back today ; 2 pallets left out front gone. I did think of this but convinced myself a relatively small amount no one would nick, I was wrong. Saves me moving them I guess! - though we may be a few tiles short now 🙃 Morale of story - don't leave tiles out the front
  3. @JohnBishop you can get any shape tile trim you need at a cost ! - to cover up imperfections/ (expletive deleted) ups / incompetence etc . . I know .
  4. Also “ you did it wrong “ as a response . Not something I’m familiar with of course 🙄
  5. Some of us have been there and still not done it 👍
  6. There isn’t an emoji I can choose to suit that response …
  7. See gits ! Not just me !
  8. Guys How much do drywall screws impact insulation value of a wall? Answer : (expletive deleted) all
  9. I have SO much to show …
  10. Yes on a self build it’s easy to fixate on apparently irrelevant things . But ! they keep you awake at night . Let the drywall screw mindset go …. You’ll find something else 🙄😁
  11. Any one done their own modelling? yep !
  12. Yes ; stuff has gone missing aka bin for certain . But occasionally SWMBO says “ have you seen the ‘x’ ?” . Naturally I say no but think “ (expletive deleted) I threw that away ! “
  13. Picture is worth a thousand words @ToughButterCup . The orange on the floor to the left is the decoupling mat . So I can tile maybe 2 rows before I swear again
  14. It’s the temporary kitchen … The 65 boxes of “ important stuff we can’t throw away “ The 160kg fridge/freezer The massive mame arcade unit The dining table and eight chairs The tools for the build And now ; the 100 sq m of tiles at nearly 3tonnes I moved Apart from that ; it’s empty 😢🙄
  15. Nope - it’s all filthy ; we don’t use bleach
  16. 100 sq m in a non empty room in 1 day 🫤🫤🫤🫤😢
  17. Ok . So no clips on ‘end of day ‘ ? I could cut the next day clip so its base fits between yesterdays tile and todays ( movable tile ) . Not sure that gives a different result to just leaving the clip in from the day before though . I might be over thinking this !
  18. Ok . Will try later when SWMBO is here . Then when it does go wrong I can blame you 😁
  19. I installed it so there’s zero chance of that amateur error 🙄
  20. Ok . So when I plumb the kitchen properly what should I put presumably between the tails and the water feed ?
  21. As the self proclaimed Totally Incredible Tiler - with loads of experience; I never thought of this … I use the Rubi system ; clips and wedges - it’s ace . But at a days end ( got 100 m sq floor to do ) what should I do with the last exposed clips ? What I mean is ; next day they’ll be gone off and therefore can’t move to level with the next new freshly laid tile . Previously I just left them and they become that level as they are fixed . But sat here thinking ; I thought I should ask . It’s called doing a @Thorfun I.e ask question avoids doing work 👍
  22. Straight - it tee’s before that though for washing machine / dishwasher . Could those activating cause hammer / strain on it ??
  23. Nope . Another photo to show context . No rats ( I hope ) - nothing nearby to rub / scratch it .
  24. Really surprised at this . Less than 2 yrs old ( temporary kitchen ) . Cheap tap admittedly from eBay - but it looks like it has ‘rotted’ apart . Tails are under no strain - nothing has caught them to damage them either . Wondered what the wet patch on the floor was 🙄
