So ! Do I want CU to oven switch 10mm then this to oven to 2nd oven to hob 6mm for those ? or - should each have a seperate ( 6mm ? ) run from oven switch ? I.e radial from that ?

I’ve got 30 boxes of “ kitchen stuff” that has been packed away for now 7 years . Or “ crap “ as you technically call it . SWMBO is adamant it’s all necessary. I’ve thrown a few bits out over the years - but it’s hard to make 30 boxes vanish unnoticed. Once the kitchen is complete I assume some will migrate from “ box of crap “ to “ cabinet of crap “ - much like yours 🫤

I struggled with wire snips to cut the 10mm . Better to over spec I guess ( as I have the cable ) and let sparky sort .

That’s the thing I thought . It’s well chunky ! . I’ll put the cables in position for oven / hob but not clipped . Sparky can then pull them out and replace if it upsets him . He left me 10mm ( actually got 2 rolls of it ) .

Yeah mine ‘fell’ for that . Unload one and use whilst loading the other or some BS . Unless you regularly have 12 for dinner - ones enough .

Yeah - I’ve seen ovens run off a standard plug . I’ll stick chunky 10mm in as a ring . Distance from oven / hob to consumer unit is under 10metres . I’ll daisy chain from oven to other oven to hob then back to CU . No insulation over my lighting wiring so I’ll leave as 1mm

Sparky left me a collection of cables . The 10mm is mega chunky - assume I use this for ovens and hob ? 2.5mm for standard sockets ?

Fair enough . That response mitigates the explanation of 4 ovens .

I was thinking about what to do . Been like that since Monday . Tomorrow is Thursday so need to wind down as soon Friday . Weekend to recover . Maybe Monday productivity will up a notch …. 🫤

Why have you got 4 ovens ? . No one has that many friends to cook for .

A minor thing that gets overlooked ( unless your my SWMBO ) is a bin . To ‘hide’ it SWMBO requested a special ‘bin’ cupboard - which clearly is not worth the money ; but hides it and avoids floor clutter . oh hang on - I see bin now 🙄

Not too mention the language that’s used when installing such as “for (expletive deleted)s sake why doesn’t that fit “ ” why the (expletive deleted) is that imperial and that metric “ ” bollocks - that’s wrong “ ” shit - why’s there water on the floor “ ” bastard “

@Thorfun Apart from concealed hep20 fitting . Presume there’s another behind the vertical waste stack ? I in those circumstances let the hep20 pipe bend round assuming it’s not too tight to eliminate joints and potentially leaks ( though Hep2o is awesome and I’d doubt a leak ever )

Nothing wrong with that . Just make sure you have backer board ( or whatever ) to hand , tiles and the final fitting . Because if you need to adjust the depth after it’s tiled it’s a pig 🐷
