  1. Sloppy seconds 😉
  2. Currently testing an ‘early bird’ prototype. Few interface issues but so far so good .
  3. But the real future is …
  4. What could possibly go wrong ?
  5. It’s funny all BM’s recommend hardi board . I went with this ditra type board . Light weight and easy to cut . Of course you’ll need noggins for bathroom fixings . Tile adhesive sticks to this board like sh*t . In the shower used their ‘tape’ , glue and paint on joints . p.s obviously not my shower cubicle ! The boards dead useful for other things
  6. Seriously though ( forget ring ) . Patrolling your house ( when unoccupied ) . Going to areas of interest or external movement. Oooo I dream “ Alexa tell drone to find SWMBO “ “Alexa tell drone too see who’s shagging upstairs “ Endless fun and annoyance. My HA has been very stable so it’s time to progress to something it can be integrated into and be liable to fail .
  7. 📸 Look at this post on Facebook https://www.uniladtech.com/gadgets/amazon-ring-always-home-cam-mini-drone-security-077262-20231105 I smell new toy alert . Personally I don’t want to be part of rings subscription cloud based infrastructure. But … I’m sure I could add a drone to my HA to patrol my house - with a built in taser .
  8. Just the back ? I’m tempted to put a batton on all 4 sides
  9. Maybe . Plumbers fee probably 100 quid . I can live with that . Cost to repair damage I reckon under 5k
  10. What would you recommend for distance from tap base to sink ?
  11. Yeah that’s what I was thinking . But what spacing ? . How much worktop should be at the front of a sink ?
  12. Just cold for shower
  13. Nope - not really Just some clips - but that’s for an existing worktop . I need to position and support pre worktop
  14. Think I’ll call them though ; this time …
  15. Having a bad day . Top left of sink corner bent ! Once I get that replaced what’s the best way to mount in unit ? A shelf to sit on ? Tap has to go to the right . So what spacing ? ( in fact what spacing front/back ) ?
  16. Yep . Never worth it . From experience they’ll bump the premium 300 or so per year . Especially on “ escape of water “
  17. Failed washer on water inlet . That was it . I’m going to have to get ceiling reboarded and skimmed . Redecorate room , new laminate flooring . Decorate lounge . £1000’s due to a penny washer 😤
  18. Yeah . I’ll report back what he finds .
  19. From memory it isn’t . Don’t recall it sagging though
  20. Got to get on with my kitchen so have appointment a plumber to view . float failing and overflow blocked seems like low probability too me . But I can’t see anything else obvious. All external pipework fittings are dry .
  21. None at all . Here’s a better photo . Does look like it overflowed
  22. Yeah . Tenant has *now* informed me they were away from beginning of November - not back until this Saturday . So in theory a small leak could have been happening since then and nobody would know . Lounge got a wash also 🙄
  23. Yep . When I got there water level was ‘normal ‘ I.e well below overflow
  24. Maybe . But it’s a lot of water . I assumed float failed and overflow blocked . Fittings seem to have no weeping around them . But I guess a slow leak is possible !
  25. Got the call 5am header tank is above room float seems good , tank seems good , overflow in place . Only assumption I can see is float failed and overflow blocked ??
