  1. That there is. I’d say about 300mm.
  2. If you say it enough times you start to believe it!
  3. it's a short length (about 600mm) in 50mm waste pipe. it shouldn't sag as I have supported it at either end. I have checked it with a laser and poured water down it and can hear it going in to the soil pipe. I'm wondering if the short distance and 50mm pipe means that the bath won't empty that slowly. no rodding point. this waste will be boxed in behind a wall so kind of need to make sure it's ok! that's why I'm contemplating re-doing it. I will sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning.
  4. I ran some waste today for our bath. it's in 50mm waste pipe. when I dry fitted it the fall was fine but after welding it it seems that my fall has ended up about 1:200. do I need to rip it out and start again? or is that shallow fall ok in 50mm for bath waste? I think I know the answer by the way just don't want to do it as it means I've wasted 4hrs today. 😭
  5. looks like 32A max discharge although I'm definitely no expert on the subject of electrics! and it beats the 13A I have from my LuxPower device
  6. sounds too good to be true! 😉 will take a look in to it (not that I can afford to change my battery system at the moment!)
  7. Is there a maximum Amp draw via the UPS feature?
  8. Cheers. Will bare it in mind
  9. Thanks all. One less thing to worry about!!
  10. I think I might’ve f****d up here. At the end of a SW waste run I’ve got a PF boss adapter and have pushed the SW pipe in to it. I’ve tested and there’s no leaks but it will be boxed in so access at a later date will be troublesome. As the PF boss adaptor has been solvent welded to the boss I can’t just swap it out. should I leave it as is or cut the SW pipe and couple it to a PF pipe using a suitable coupler and then push fit into the PF boss adapter? Or is there another potential solution?
  11. Only gravity. This is the discharge from the RWH header tank. If the water has been in the tank unused for a period of time it is flushed out using gravity and replaced. The manufacturer suggests running the 22mm pipe back to the tank so it can be re-used but that’s a long way and I’m not worried about doing that. So I just want to discharge to a soil pipe. although, now I think about it that water will go straight in to my STP rather than out to the ditch.
  12. Thanks. I ordered one today so will fit it this weekend and will see what happens!
  13. actually, this is a stupid question i think! if i'm worried about compression on to the hep2o then i can just couple to 22mm copper and compress that into the above boss connector. sorry for my daftness!
  14. @Nickfromwales will the above boss connector work with a hep2o 22mm pipe? i've read before that you said not to use compression with hep2o pipe although others have different opinions on that subject!
  15. Need something using proper fittings rather than cobbled together with parts of similar dimensions. sure, but what connectors for 22mm Hep2o to solvent weld? Nope. Don’t need know. Just need it secure and leak free.
  16. Should’ve clarified that without leaking would be preferable! 😂
  17. simple one.....how would I go about getting a 22mm hep2o pipe to discharge into a soil pipe?
  18. it was only fitted a year or so ago so it's still black and charred! it is quite fragile though and the charring can come away if you're not very careful with it. but we don't really mind as it adds character. 😉
  19. don't take that link as gospel! it was just the first one i found from Google. i think you might be able remove one of the discs so can use as a standard angle grinder in the future if required. sounds like you have a lot of research to do. 😉
  20. if purchasing specifically for chasing walls have you considered a double disc jobby? https://www.amazon.co.uk/EINHELL-ITALIA-TH-MA-1300-Mauernutfräse/dp/B00IYEEXR0/ref=asc_df_B00IYEEXR0/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309904160813&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17036672168689129604&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1007850&hvtargid=pla-421346012760&psc=1&th=1&psc=1 2 lines in one go is surely better than one?
  21. i love the black cladding, but then i'm a bit biased 😉
  22. Sounds simple! Toilets are bloody heavy though to be flipping upside down and back again!
  23. today I thought I'd try and fit the toilet waste in our downstairs loo to the Geberit frame. but I got confused (easily done to be fair). the frame comes with a 90mm pan connector but the toilets we chose have a bigger hole (https://www.duravit.co.uk/products/all_series/d-neo.com-en.html?product=6434574). I'm trying to set the frame to the correct height so that I have the pan at the correct height to get the correct fall to the soil stack. how the **** do you go about doing this? is there an easy way? do I just bin the pan connector that came with the frame and buy something that fits the toilet? I'm sure this is noddy stuff but I could do with some simple steps to follow. I think I've read other's posts on this subject but I've read so much over the past 3 years that I'm not sure where I read it. 😞
