I'm liking this as the levers better match our bath and basin taps (close enough): https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hudson-Reed-Reign-2-Way-Concealed-Thermostatic-Shower-Valve/192028042845?epid=2283077803&hash=item2cb5c3665d:g:45AAAOSw8C9Z30a9 But no instructions ref the "2-way". Made in England apparently. Says 20yr g'tee. Are Hudson Reed any good?

@nod, hope you don't mind the hijack. Figured I'd add to this given the generic thread title. Need a concealed mixer at the budget end of things. So with the aid of the model, "we" have decided the shower is going on this wall. I was going to have nothing on this wall as it's an outside cavity wall. Was going to pack it with PIR but have been overruled. The shower head is misleading as that'll be mounted on the ceiling. SWMBO wants a riser rail with removable hose / handset. Presumably for "lady" things. Me, happy to stand under and get drenched. So I presume I need a 2-way valve? As in handset or overhead? What's a 3-way then? At the mo however it looks like this: I'm after a concealed mixer not so deep that I can get some insulation behind it and run the feed pipes up, again within the insulated layer. The horizontal studs will get drilled as required to support the down pipes. More timber can go in if needs be. Space wise, between those two studs is 165mm and face of stud to the rough old white wall is only 125mm. Add 12.5mm of Aquapanel and tiles and I've maybe 150mm from face of tiles to wall. Only ever fitted bar mixers. Am I on the right track?

Can't decide whether to tile in the cupboard or not. It'll have a linen basket taking up the lower half then shelves above. The stub wall will have the "magazine", stacked loo roll dispenser. Other than tiles it'd be plastered. -
Don't fit Slik imo. Get something with proper bearings rather that nylon wheels running on plain steel shafts. I did a pocket door in our bedroom in which I find the door gear "noisy". Also a set of wardrobe doors that again are noisy. Doesn't help the 18mm MDF doors might be a bit heavy! It was CHEAP door gear though!

Reading around the competitor "thermo" timber sites and they also to specify "European redwood & whitewood". Stuff like Silver fir, Norway spruce etc. Weird how the mould build up is more on the South, is it because it gets more Sun for growth? Maybe jet wash then anti fungal and a clear treatment? My only worry is that might arrest the patchiness and leave it looking as is. Guessing a stain is in order. Doing a test area first is essential I reckon.

Just playing with the floor tile layout. Nice to print off the CAD wet room corner to scale and it fitted. The wet room area has spacers but the rest doesn't so is slightly off: -

Still mulling whether I'll need a 1200mm high shelf in the wet room space. Thinking if we ever need to shower in a wheelchair or sit on a chair. A lower shelf would put shampoo, shower gel etc within reach. Like the divider idea, I'll play with that. -

Hmm... OK pockets 1 course taller and moved 2 up: Or 1 course taller and moved just one course up: It was a good few years ago that a night on the tiles New Years Eve meant something else! -
My missus hates me having tools in the kitchen but I may suggest some dedicated shelves like you've done to keep the boxes of screws, glue etc handy!

A bit of reconfiguring: Three pockets didn't really work. It put the height of the "shelves" of the two right hand pockets at 700 and just over 1600 - too high and too low! Two pockets giving shelf heights at 1200mm seems better: Couldn't resist mocking up a shower (& flush plate) but tbh I think it's the best place for it (the shower) on the other wall: -
A few places doing this heat treated wood seem to recommend jet washing it.

Tbh I'd worry more about the depths than having a 2m wide trench and pinch a bit here and there! https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.ournetwork.openreach.co.uk/resources/site1/General/Downloads/quick-guides/Quick_Guide_Duct_Laying.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwjVjqrrtrTYAhUFOsAKHQT_BTUQFghzMA8&usg=AOvVaw1_8NqgnwuSWGYLa7zs_aOc Tbh if you ignore the distance to the house and footpath it's about a metre wide trench. -
Greetings. I'm now going to look up where the Cotswolds are!

Second photo's approaching what I'm thinking albeit not a spiral. Saying that they're elipses rather than perfect discs. Reminds me of the pebble staircase on Pinterest. The missus just compared the second one to "the ribcage out of Alien". I love it. The underlying metalwork looks still molten!

Square pockets? Could drop down to two tiles which would be 400w x 500h? Made a faux pas somewhere! In reality that wc outlet is positioned dead centre of the two studs which are nom. 500mm between faces ( for the Geberit frame). On the model they're 450 apart! The moral being don't measure with a (mild) hangover! -
@Dean Carpenter, I've had a brief search on the carpentier site but couldn't find any maintenance instructions, nor from Googling. Did you get anything? Looking at similar Scandinavian products and they quote 30 years without treatment! Then some suggest treating to enhance/prolong: https://www.silvatimber.co.uk/thermowood-channel-cladding-21-119mm.html

There are set distances between services and trench depths. Broadly speaking all areas follow pretty much the same guidelines but some service providers insist on certain colour ducts underground such as red instead of black for electricity. Whereabouts are you roughly and we'll go from there. -

Luckily thick skin is one of my many virtues! So pockets, bit of a quick cheat on the model rather than making more MDF dust but it gives me an idea. Thinking two lit pockets on this wall as I've a good few inches depthwise. Not sure whether the pockets would be better next to the mosaic. This would allow the shower mixer / riser to go on that strip of tiles next to the pocket. I was though thinking of the whole "you don't want to get wet turning it on / remote mixer" thing. Tricky this! Probably need to see this in context with the big pocket above the wc... -

Happy then with the; window, "door" and bath walls. Just got to figure where the thermostatic shower valve is going and the pockets on the wc wall. Still need to pick a valve and rainfall head. Just remembered, I was going to arch the top of the pockets. I suppose really I should sort the ceiling...downlights, body dryer and decide whether I'm skimming it or taping and jointing... BEFORE the tiles! -

From the left hand (wet room) corner it's two full tiles then a cut one abutting the mosaic. So I can't really mirror with the rhs. -
The older I get the more I favour soft edges and organic shapes. Delving into the Rich Tea earlier and I had a thought for a spiral staircase with discs for the treads: Can anyone else see it?
