  1. We have a winner! Well, other than it's off white compared to the fridge paint. Albeit simplified from the original it's so much smoother etc than the previous print! Pity about the split in the seal... The profile isn't a bad match either:
  2. Form it, you know you want to...
  3. I should have printed the fridge handle in antibacterial PLA maybe: https://www.xyzprinting.com/en-US/material/antibacterial-pla
  4. Must be quite stressful waiting for your next Lego piece to print if you're building something...
  5. Say you had a double garage with single skin block walls with pillars...like I have Could you ADD an inner skin, straight off the floor slab, maybe even in timber, in order to give support if adding an "upstairs"?
  6. 3D printed, 2 piece handle to connect two Occulus Rift VR controllers together to make a Darth Maul style light sabre. Used for playing Beat Saber. They interlock with an m/f twist joint but I've backed it up with self amalgamating tape:
  7. Or one of your parents drinking tea...
  8. This to avoid connecting my two new, clean loops into the old rotten system. So a pump, the Willis, the two loops, a couple of 2 port valves and a 5L expansion vessel? Trying to imagine the circuit. For the floor loop I've already got that under floor probe in that you kindly sent me years ago.
  9. Old thread I know but could I... Use a Willis heater and small <15L tank to create a self contained, non vented system to heat 1 towel rail and 1 small UFH loop?
  10. Welcome. I'm near Sevenoaks. Not rebuilding (sadly) just doing bits here and there on an old wreck that should be rebuilt!
  11. Whoa! Can't say that now. I know these things, just back from an LGBTQ+ sensitivity presentation for parents at the school. 1800 kids at the school and FIVE parents turned up!
  12. You Sir need to sit through the consent video my 13 year old daughter had to watch at school the other day. Apparently all the kids and teachers were cracking up whilst the health professionals brought in were trying to be deadly serious. This is a hoot: Told SWMBO I'd like to try coffee for a change...
  13. This thread is making me even hungrier
  14. Interesting reading, HSE report on 3D printing risks: rr1146.pdf
  15. Didn't @ProDave make his?
  16. Isn't that what usually happens?
  17. I ran my new (25mm) supply in it's own duct. Might make replacing it easy if ever required. The old pipe wasn't well...
  18. They usually have two little screws on the front, one each end. The resistance will be in ohms or kilohms. For example: They come as linear or logarithmic, "lin" or "log". Should be a watts rating too.
  19. The bath end panel has tiles stuck on 12mm marine ply with CT1 Grab & Bond. The "grout" is in fact Everbuild Forever white. That covers the screw holes also. Easy to cut out. You can see the join at the two halves of the bath frame: Similar trap access from the side:
  20. Think I've sussed the facet issue by using the FACETRES command, upping from the default (think it was 0.1) to 10 makes the world of difference to the smoothness of the exported stl! Just found 3DPRINT command too!
  21. MK2 has a flat bottom so less support needed. Function over form this time!
  22. The fridge handle was a failure! I modelled it in AutoCAD and it looked great. All soft curves. Printed some small sections and they fitted a treat. I then somehow lost the model! I'd sent beforehand my lad the .stls for the handle and bit that screws to the door as two separate parts for some reason. He put them together but as meshes, the resultant model looked faceted. This is how it printed, dog rough, like a lobster's back! One side of the handle was just an open mesh! Something lost in translation between packages I guess! Going to simplify the next attempt, all right angles, minimal radii and no overhangs!
  23. My spa bath is part sunken (so the floor of the bath is level with the adjacent tiled floor). Access panels in the side covered by tiles give access to the trap etc. If worst case happens I can break two tiles, take the silicone off and lift half the bath surround away.
  24. Kick the towel around the floor is what we do when finished showering then straight in for washing. UFH helps dry the floor quicker as does good extract.
