Put the pb against the old wall, as near as it'll go. Hold a small disc of wood against the profile and put a pencil the other side. Move block down, following the wall and keeping the pencil tight to the little block. That'll transfer your profile to the pb edge. Cut with a coping saw, jig saw etc. Fill later with flexible decorators caulk. You did similar in the kitchen I recall.

The screen on the right, does it hinge to the left? Does it not hit the mixer? What ones btw? Always known I might have to do similar.

I can see this going downhill.

That's it, avoid the unpalatable & wait for an answer that zoots the way you want to go that involves less work. ?

Packet of 10 DS18b20 sensors have turned up in the post finally! I'll have the necessary resistors kicking around in spades I'm sure. Once out of quarantine I'll give to my lad to play with on one of the Pi's. He's stopped trying to print in ABS at the mo. Space around the psu was getting in the mid 40s degC. That'll have to be relocated.

I had my lad 3D print some Makita to Einhell (their Power X Change range, same as Ozito Power X Change) battery adapters. Morning, I'm debating this Einhell 36V brush cutter: https://www.amazon.de/Einhell-Schnittbreite-Front-Motor-Tippautomatik-3-Zahn-Messer/dp/B078GRBYSP/ref=mp_s_a_1_13? 1) I could do with one for occasional use. 2) I can use Makita batteries on it. 3) It's half the price of a Makita one. Cheaper too buying it from Germany. I saved a good few quid like this buying the 36V chainsaw from Amazon.de In the German to English translation it states: "Thread spool and 3-tooth knife, without battery and charger)" Then it lists a 255 bush blade for an extra €19.99. Are they much different in terms if what they can do as opposed to the "3 tooth knife" it comes with? I'm guessing it's pretty much like a circular saw blade for sawing rather than "weed whacking". That it's 25.4mm bore and 2.5mm thick, could a "standard" circular saw blade be substituted? Not had much experience of these "brush cutter" type things. Limited to cheapo mains strimmers in the past. Cheers

My chippy mate taught me how to use the mitre jig etc. In SWMBO's eyes he can do no wrong (only 'cos he gets stuff finished ?). I keep meaning to redo some cornice he helped me on. I could do better than he has. Bugs me everytime I look at it. Madam can't / doesn't want to see the issue.

Feel proud you'll soon be a fully paid up member then! ? My kitchen came from Homebase and I made the big, deep and tall side panels from matching ContiBoard, again from Homebase. Not even sure if side panels the size I wanted were available as an extra from the kitchen catalogue. Colour match is bang on. Amazing how accurate I can finish a ContiBoard edge with a sharp router bit. Dead square (and effing sharp).

That's just a short cut bodge. @joe90's detail looks much nicer. The difference I suppose between some "professional" tradesmen who want to get onto the next job asap and the anal perfectionists who inhabit BH!

Glue & pin x2 20mm thick, timber strips to the back of the cupboard to bring it forward. Stain the same colour as the worktop. Is it exactly 20mm proud? You could maybe stick 16mm pvc trunking to the back edge of the cupboard. ?

Rumour has it... On the Walkie Talkie, because of the Jag melting incident, doormats opposite catching fire etc "they" put up some temporary clematis type netting on the facade, 800m2 of the stuff. It blew off and was recovered, draped over the roof of an adjacent building. Lucky that didn't come down in the street! Allegedly.

Wish I had this problem ? Some ground mount PV to deal with the issue and suck all that free energy up?
