  1. Fens extend into Norfolk don't they? NFN and all that. ?
  2. @PeterW wins tonight's (priceless) prize! It is indeed 1/2" BSP. I didn't even consider it as a possibility, I mean it's for "pipe"! I didn't even consider it with the Zeus book sat in front of me. Good to know. However, as the other adapter I made is M16 I did the same with this in the end. Fully threaded the arbour length & found a couple of stud extenders and half nuts:
  3. More fingers to hold onto the fence panels surely? ?
  4. Cheers. I've a 1/2" BSP tap I think. Fingers crossed.
  5. Could do, I bet they'll tell me to BUY an extension!
  6. 3/4"-16 UNF tap is a bit sloppy...or is it? Maybe it's meant to be to aid getting it apart on site? Looking down the bore of the core cutter and tbh the tap teeth don't seem to be lining up that well...
  7. Trying to knock up a really long extension bar for this core cutter. in Outside dia of thread measures nom. 20.5mm. As for thread pitch, three threads cover nom. 5.5mm, 4 cover about 6.75mm. that's then about a 1.7 /. 1.8mm pitch. Can you get M20x1.75? M20 Metric coarse is 2.5mm, M20 electrical is 1.5mm pitch. Imperial maybe? 4 threads covering a 1/4" gives 16tpi and then the nom. 0.8' OD. I reckon 3/4-16 UNF. Sounds about right as Starrett arbours are UNF.
  8. I thought 3m would have been de rigueur up there as they're tighter! ?
  9. If 3m wasn't a thing they wouldn't sell 3m Arris rails surely? The rails used round here are 75x75 with feather edge.
  10. As I can't yet successfully print in ABS I've been spraying PLA to go outside. Plastic primer and whatever top coat. Time will tell.
  11. I liked first then read it expecting something new. Am I missing something? Already knew about ASA.
  12. I genuinely believed you'd sorted the leak years ago. Edit: Around the same time you sold that glass...
  13. Reading the title I'd expected to see you'd finally found bladder leak underwear that was actually pretty.
  14. None is getting on the end of the roof board is it? Maybe slip something like eaves protectors up between the felt tile and roof board if that's doable?
  15. What us grockel, overners would call "minging" then! ?
  16. Look to compost the brewing waste if you can. Not sure what you're brewing but if grain based then you need to keep the compost bin well aerated as grain waste is nitrogen rich.
  17. I'd carry an American fridge freezer up stairs on my back for a crack at that Kaley Cuoco! ? Edit: Not that I'd impress her before, during or after!
  18. I'd say glasses or very big bags under your eyes! Looking good! (The house that is, you look dog rough ?)
  19. Tell me about it! Tbh I was never good with the theory / design as a kid. I was more monkey see, monkey do. Just dug out my metal case full of the complete E12 resistor range. Bouught from Garlands in Deptford. Been in the garage and subject to a bit of damp etc. I earnt the money for them digging a neighbours footings by hand as a kid! I also had the Philips Radionics kits. Was always scavenging dumps for old tv's, radios, bike frames and mowers etc. Got better with the design/maths side as I've gotten older. Dipped into RF stuff for a while, CW transmitters, SW receivers, coil & antennae making. Used to love it but as a hobby...can't remember the last time I made anything.
  20. That fits! ? Thinking I need a long extension though...
  21. Guessing no damp course then? Have the original walls been refinished inside and out? High humidity might be linked to these issues. So many things to consider!
  22. Ta. No.1 son has just surfaced so he can run me down to TS. First proper core cutter I've had this. Builders left it at a mates works along with a 125mm and another 65mm one.
  23. ??? You're assuming my SWMBO and I have the same ideas. We don't! She's "just do it for now". Comes from a long line of bodgers. Her old man made a "shed" by covering an old greenhouse frame in MDF. Yes, MDF. What a waste of time and effort. MDF for the floor too. The whole thing has now collapsed into a sodden mess. I have to think, plan, draw, procrastinate. Now I have a vision for certain things (mainly down to this site) anything I suggest is met with "You'll take so long!" Well if i don't f***ing start luv it'll never happen! Plus we don't budget. Just lurch from one bit to another.
