  1. A safety thing I think to guard against fume leakage?
  2. Spot on. Imo they are referring to the vertical white rectangle which is the reinforcing fin strengthening the million against bowing. Drawing is a horizontal section I believe. Nice, sharp edge to fall onto and headbutt at 6mm wide! If it has to be there I'd be asking for a 48.5 x 52mm clip on or similar "cover" at no extra cost and finished to suit. Or...some split pipe lagging! ?
  3. Talk about coincidence! Two members spell check goes t!ts up on the same night! Edit: Go on I'll say it for you, "Carrot!"
  4. I can just about see the appeal of getting in a freshly filled hot tub at night, preferably when there's snow on the ground. Maybe, just maybe I'd let the missus in, well 30 years or so ago. Thereafter afaic it's bathwater and should be emptied and refilled. Other than that it's skin soup. I think the last time went in it was August 2018 when me and my lad had finished plastering the bathroom. Can't remember why tbh but whatever I'd have been straight in the shower afterwards. We too have friends who keep inviting us over to share their hot tub. Ugh!
  5. Ours hasn't been used since last year. No2 daughter who was never out of it isn't fussed now.
  6. 1080P apparently is my one. Must mean something different in China! ?
  7. @Big Jimbo, got my kit from EasyGates, 500KG motor is by Chamberlain LiftMaster. Track from Barrier Components in Purfleet. Tbh I think all my gear is in fact Italian. Made the gate & frame and built the brick pillars. I really didn't like the idea of looking at the big flashing orange strobe, like a council gritter! My lad's just 3D printed an insert so I can mount it near flush. It'll get sprayed black to match the trim of the brick lights below. My video doorbell is something equally obscure as yours sounds! Made by the Kyoto Dangerous Toy & Lawnmower Company I think. Trialled it the other day with 45m of Cat-6 and it worked fine tbh. Comes with a 7" indoor touchscreen.
  8. Looks terrific. Have you got contact strips on the gate or just photo cells? I'll have at least 3 pairs of photo cells (3 beams) and will add contact strips. Did you buy a sliding gate kit & what make? 1000kg one is it as that gate looks huge and heavy? (I like gate details). Also looking to make a simple loop detector circuit.
  9. What say @Nickfromwales?
  10. If doing mine again, looking at 2) I'd butt the tile going up the page against the tile going across with a credit card thick gap then clear CT1. Did this where my wall tiles meet the floor. You as I understand never want to look at such a corner joint head on.
  11. 8W cool white downlights solve a lot of the issues I find and the dimmer facility makes any faux pas even less noticeable!
  12. S'alright, I got the sly dig! ? On a serious note, as I'd plastered my bathroom myself I used Leyland Super Leytex high opacity paint as a base. Also used Easifill 20 where required. Topcoated with Dulux Matt Diamond.
  13. At least I'm consistent, unlike some painters I know... ?
  14. I thought Artex had gone out of fashion? ?
  15. Bubbles! Tune!
  16. Meter board from CEF. You can also get little spacers for mounting off the wall. Handy for getting cables up behind. Tbh some CEF branches are better than others. Best to order online for collection at a local store then you can check for lumps knocked off it! https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/products/search?q=Meter board
  17. This is my prv: Monument gauge didn't move when I screwed it on the outside tap and turned it on. Seized I guess? Will try tomorrow on the pre PRV outside tap. Mind you I just unscrewed it from my still as yet unconnected bathroom towel rail loop and it had slight rust stains on the connection. Presume from the iron fitting. This was taken Feb 2016 when I tested the UFH loop. Doesn't appear I used the gauge again until Feb 2018 when I tested the towel rail loop and not since: I'm just guessing these gauges can stick/corrode inside?
  18. Yes but I still want to put the gauge on it.
  19. 4bar
  20. Oddly enough I think those little bits of grit might have been the issue. The PRV seems to adjust OK now. Might put a gauge on the furthest outside tap and see what I've got but it's certainly "better".
  21. Had to take the bloody loo seat off to get in there and screw it back!
  22. Well it just pulls out. A few tiny, weeney bits of grit in there. A rinse off and try and get it back in now. Wish I was slimmer!
  23. The 4mm Allen key fits but it just goes around and around not coming out or screwing in? & I'm not sure if a) I can or b) I want to squeeze my ample frame in here to get a close up look!
  24. Can't find any of my 24mm spanners FFS! With a deep impact socket managed to get the first bit of the PRV off: Looking up inside: & with the endoscope cam: No mesh filter that I can see. Looks like a hex socket in there. Do I carry on with an Allen key to get the next bit out? Cheers
