  3. I was just thinking the same, surely an SE has designed this ? (I would want this done!).
  4. A bit like electricians, not all will allow you to do first fix but some will. 🤷‍♂️
  5. Make two timber 3 legged stands (think axle stands) cross braced and you get to use the timber afterwards for something else.
  6. But only with PD which is weird.

Let’s hope it stays that way for you. A very wise move
  17. I did the same, AAVs in the house but the run extended past to a garage (with a loo) and vent pipe at the end of the run.
  18. Yes, it’s why so many here fit their own, MCS is just a way of charging much more.
  19. I have used those Amazon ones on wood and @saveasteading is right, mind your wrist, if(when) they jam they kick like a mule.
  20. +1, I always got full BC approval whenever BC were involved simply because they can be inconsistent , I even had an occasion with full plans where the inspector wanted a change, I refused (as the work had already been done) and escalated it with success to leave as I had built.
  21. My caveat. it also depends on budget, if it’s affordable to make the loft fully insulated and draught proof the whole house will benefit (but still with ventilation especially as….
