Biting. Will you take £20?

Following this link https://www.juliancassell.com/2564/fitting-a-door-lining provided by @MortarThePoint in another post I have fitted my first door lining (of 14). Rather pleased with the result. Hopefully the remainder will be as successful

We did not have that condition, so no. -
Options to save money discharging conditions?

For the first four years of our build we worked weekends only, unless we had to be there for things like concrete pours and deliveries. We had smoozed the neighbours about this and they have been great. Talk face to face to them and be honest about what might happen, it makes all the difference. Whenever we knew something BIG was going to happen we made a special effort to let them know. Don't panic Capt Mannering 🙂 -
Something like this is what I put together, one for hot, one for cold Using these, although they were cheaper when I bought them. Have you thought about using push fit plastic to create this manifold?

If this is the case, it sounds like you have plenty of length of pipe that will flex enough to meet the proper connection. Bit more digging on the horizon 🙂

Two 45o bends should keep the flow going nicely

What steps to take next after PP grant?

On another note, borne from a current conversation with SWMBO (and you can thank me later), determine NOW where all your bathroom, kitchen, utility, cloakroom (and any other) feed and waste pipes will run. In or outside the floor, ceiling and wall voids, or are you happy to be boxing in the offending items 😁 This means serious and careful planning NOW of where all those pesky showers, bath, basins, toilets, DW, WM are going to be. Good Luck -
Welcome Jim, and best of luck with the application and build. You'll get asked - any plans, pics and reasons for choosing timber frame?

Putting in hard standing. Constitute commencing development?

Can you wait until your CIL exemption has been granted? I know you've already submitted this. If not, no one locally should complain if you do the work tidily (the main way local council will find out). If you can achieve tidy, quietist, clean work before CIL exemption crack on. -

Sounds like you will need a self build mortgage. These release funds in stages (defined by the lender). As you complete one stage funds are released for the next (I think its that way round). So, find out what mortgage you can get and what the stages are that they will release the funds, then get your quotes lined up to be staged as per the mortgage lenders definitions. Don't forget contingency of minimum 20% when you go seeking your mortgage. Wishing you the best of luck in the build -

Just saw this on FB https://safedoorbells.com/products/doorbell Not looked at the detail yet -
Any self levelling screed is best laid on an already stable surface. If things are moving now, they will afterwards. Get the ply fixed to be as inflexible as possible. May be better to lift the ply and have a screed poured directly over the pipe and insulation.

Not 100% certain however it may be some kind of cill to divert the rain water from the vertical cladding over the first horizontal cladding, which I think is how you deal with the join

As I know where my units are going I am not running pipes under them. In the islands we will have an extractor unit for the hob and that will no doubt create heat under the island. So, shrug, WTF. Low flow temps , it'll likely make no difference if you run pipe or don't

We have a timer and override switch on the immersion, switched off completely right now. I guess this is the same thing in essence. -

We wanted 300, but the installer would only put in a 250. May change it sometime down the line after we've lived with it a couple of years and had a couple of family gatherings. All to do with the fxxking MCS calcs -

With an unvented cylinder (UVC) the flow/pressure is related to the pressure of the mains and size of the pipework. Also with a UVC you don't need water above 50 for showering, washing etc. (otherwise you'll just scald yourself, or use lots of cold to mix it down). Using an ASHP to go any higher than 50ish and you'll just be running it VERY inefficiently.
