  1. Walk on glazing? I have a feeling you may be able to get your hands on some ?
  2. Tarpaulin and bricks
  3. Oh also the is the pipe spinny thing that is part of the ‘pool borrowing’ stash - it helps spool out the pipe... which can bit a bit annoying to do by hand.
  4. I just used my thumb... and after that got sore my toe (in a shoe of course). it took me longer to get the pipe at the correct angle into the manifold than it took me to lay and staple all the pipe work.
  5. Like an executive summary... no more than 4 pages please! Capturing the lessons learnt would be incredible ... so we never ever have to suffer a thread like this again ?
  6. Something a bit sus going on here:
  7. Those screws aren’t lined up! They are all over the place... shoddy slapdash approach. ?
  8. That’s all onoff does: think it through... it’ll be 10+ years before it’s put into action, but he will be able to walk around it using his VR goggles. ?
  9. I just knew that the kids would pick up on that word ?
  10. Flexis are pretty sensitive in my experience. When I’ve lived elsewhere in Europe, every fitting is connected via a flexi and they fail fairly frequently. Probably affected more by hardwater too. Hopefully a proper plumber will be along soon to tell you it’ll be fine.
  11. Looking good ? Is that braided hose kinked or is it just the camera angle? If it is, you want to sort that out, otherwise it will spring a leak in the future.
  12. Hey @zoothorn I think Pete is saying that the radiators are rated at a certain operating temperature... I think 70*c. So if your boiler (or in your case ASHP) is running lower than 70*c then the performance of the radiator reduces at a proportionate ratio. Hence Pete saying the actual btu of your 12000 btu radiator is reduced to 4140btu (35%). Hence the need to ‘oversize’ radiators in low temperature heating systems - like ASHPs. So how about doing the calcs on the other rooms too?
  13. Page 21. You're welcome. I expect it’s right next to the wood burning stove
  14. Rip ‘em out and put some decent tiles in ?
  15. Are you sure you don’t want to check for typos before posting?? ?
  16. @zoothornDid this make any difference?
  17. Any chance this is going to happen?
  18. So near, so far. Start digging, they’ll soon move their shit!
  19. This my office this morning. Anything more than this is hot!
  20. haha I love this thread! It’s one continuous car crash!
  21. I’m gonna keep reposting this daily now, so it keeps on top of the pile of rants and arguments. We all need this to move forward! The entirety of buildhub needs this resolved so we call move on with our lives!
  22. (expletive deleted)ing hell... this is the funniest threads I have read in a long time. @zoothorn there is a list of info needed to take this forward (assuming it isn’t just bleed the rads that magically fixes everything) : 1) list of rooms, with dimensions (H x L x W) 2) flow and return temps for the ASHP (whilst thermostat is calling for heat - but after it’s been running a while so it gets up to temp - at least an hour) 3) dimensions of radiators in each room (stating which room they are in) 4) flow and return temps for all radiators whilst the thermostat is constantly calling for heat (and ASHP has been running for a while). Please please please list these all out clearly in one place / post. Then the people who know can do the necessary calcs and advise what to do to fix it. As a side point, a few pages back you said that the flow and return temps kept fluctuating quite a bit. I wonder if the ASHP was going into defrost mode? It was on a wet and cold day.
