  1. Sort of half true They had taken two fire door off and where using them as ramps on the stairs Mummy a daddy will probably get a large bill 😁
  2. We’ve done two jobs with Bushboard Each job had over 150 shower rooms Lots of students Weve been back snagging but nothing major Stick them directly onto Moister resistant Plasterboard Super easy to use
  3. Plus 1 As a tiling business we tile lots of showers etc The last five or six years we are being asked to fit panels instead to blocks of student accommodation Much quicker and cheaper and look ok
  4. The short answer is that’s it’s easier and quicker to do this For HIM If the concrete is in his price there’s no issue If your paying for it Ouch
  5. None the above is Structual so no need for Building Control I would use a solicitor to draft a letter stating the above and send a copy to the leaseholders Then everyone knows where they stand Should be straightforward from there
  6. We normally just nip the edges every 50 mil top and bottom with a grinder and break off with a chisel Hours topps Then fix a a sheet of stainless mesh over 2.4 x 600 Then scratch over Don’t fill the holes prior
  7. They will probably knock ins that they are suggesting You won’t get them out easily We normally just use a handful of nails while setting out (40 mil) Easy to pull out
  8. As with most things The supplier only sells the stuff They won’t have a clue about installation Dont forget to put dpc under each track
  9. Exactly the same as face brick
  10. The problem with plugs is the track will slide about In not sure why they have told you that
  11. I’ve used a nail gun for the past 30 plus years you could use knock ins We use Tek screws when fixing to tiled floors Most hire shops have a Hilti nail gun
  12. Ideally they would be foil taped
  13. All the sites I do are two layers of Fire line Crazy to skrimp on something like that
  14. Most definitely On both layers I normally use 3000 x 1200 boards
  15. 200 mil of wool and two layers of 15 mil fire line plasterboard is standard across all new builds
  16. Framex look like Crittel at half the price
  17. I If you plastered first and don’t keep it above the screed The plasterboard will act like a sponge and suck all the moister into your plasterboard
  18. One will be Clay and the heavier will be concrete
  19. Normal to screed first But if you are boarding first remember to add some ply rips 25 mil above dpc to any stud walls
  20. Bad mistake Though who ever submitted should have spotted this basic error
  21. It’s Normal Plaster over it
  22. Just to add that the EPC is a really tough guide Most will do the whole street the same rating We’ve a chap that does the EPC for our rentals and he charges Ā£38 per property He normally gets between 5-10 done pare day Then types them up at home
  23. You need to get them to stick to YOUR numbering Window suppers have a habit of adding there own numbering or get to say window 5 and put x 2 Looks crystal clear to me
  24. I’d hire one my wife’s just bought this x hire shredder The smaller ones soon block
