Just had a look on Ebay for Kwikstage stairs and nothing came up :( How long ago were they on there?

Gonna visit a supplier on the N.E next week to look at their used stuff. I guess I'm just worried that used may be nearing the end of it's life and I need it for a good few years and need to be able to sell it on ;)

well when I double checked the supplier who said his timber boards were treated, turns out they're not. Baffled how they could get something so important so wrong :(

i always limit my searches to the minimum, 'kwikstage', 'scaffold', 'quikstage' done on  a regular basis you see what has come up since last view.

Cheers :)

I agree but it's kind of an important fact to not get right if you sell the stuff ;)

they're just planks. Given the number of cuts, holes, and grinder marks in some of ours, rot is the least of your worries...

That's called drainage isn't it :P lol

would you get used galvanised Kwikstage if it wasn't too expensive? Might have found some for around the refurbished price.

New boards on site today and wondered if I should treat them with some cheapo fence protector or something like that? Chances are these boards will be out for 2+ years and would ideally like everything to stay as sellable as possible :)

Mine have been  'out' for three years ... no issues. Make sure they are stacked properly (stickered) so they don't start to rot.

Mine have done some serious twisting, like a bloody corkscrew some of them.

when stored or on the scaffold??

Definitely a trip hazard, but you won’t notice them under all the other piles of shit and trip hazards you have on top of them.

What you talking about, it'll be neat and tide :P lol

Swap the twisted ones with either of the outside planks so your waking on good plank and all your materials are stacked nice and neat on the outside ones.

You can rotate images directly from the Windows File Manager using the "Manage" tab. HTH.

I'd rotated it in windows (which then showed it the correct way around), but when uploaded, it changed it back :(

Would it be wroth screwing a piece of batten underneath to stop it from twisting and possibly pull it back in?

One supplier told me to keep throwing water over the boards
