ToughButterCup
I left a tonne of sharp sand in a trailer. Well, it's not sand now, Its rock. Phhhhhhh. God's havin' a laugh innee? Help!
Ferdinand
Probably wait for warmer weather. Or accept that you will need another tonne in future, and have a different, warm, tonne delivered. Or go get some bags of sand from Wickes.
Russell griffiths
I normally put it in the microwave the bird indoors gets the ump with this, so I have my own in the garage now
Onoff
Light a fire under it. It'll melt the water in the sand so the fire won't damage the trailer... Honest! (Mods, can we have a tongue in cheek emoji please!)
ToughButterCup
The best I can up with is to cover the sand with a dark colour membrane, perhaps a bin liner, and hope the sun will heat the sand up a bit. Same principle as a a solar shower... 3 minutes ago, Russell griffiths said: I normally put it in the microwave [...] Well she would get the hump if you heat up one tonne at a time, poor lass.

Ferdinand
If you want a practical solution, it is a trip to Wickes for some bags of sand. If you need your sand to be moist, potentially a hose from the hot tap.
ProDave
Back the trailer into your garage and put a heater on in there. Should have put it there to start with, even in this cold spell, my unheated garage has not gone lower than 3 degrees.

(Suspect they may all be full of essential equipment and stores.) (On a smaller scale I have just brought all my bird feeders into the Utility to unfreeze and restock.) Russell griffiths
On a more sensible note i take it you need the trailer for something else as you shouldn’t be mixing any sand and cement in this weather but you know that don’t you.
Jeremy Harris
Down here it looks like it's going to warm up a lot tomorrow. We had forecast temperatures for this morning of -6°C, (although we only saw about -3°C), but the forecast is for the temperature here to rise to around 10°C tomorrow lunchtime.
