Ferdinand Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Probably wait for warmer weather. Or accept that you will need another tonne in future, and have a different, warm, tonne delivered. Or go get some bags of sand from Wickes.

Ferdinand Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 If you want a practical solution, it is a trip to Wickes for some bags of sand. If you need your sand to be moist, potentially a hose from the hot tap.
ProDave Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Back the trailer into your garage and put a heater on in there. Should have put it there to start with, even in this cold spell, my unheated garage has not gone lower than 3 degrees.

(Suspect they may all be full of essential equipment and stores.) (On a smaller scale I have just brought all my bird feeders into the Utility to unfreeze and restock.) We had forecast temperatures for this morning of -6°C, (although we only saw about -3°C), but the forecast is for the temperature here to rise to around 10°C tomorrow lunchtime.

Next time it freezes connect to a handy pumped hot water source...home brew bfo solar thermal array? Tarp over the compost heap, dump the sand on that.....
