That's because we're keeping it clean with mild inuendo rather than resorting to your usual, crass, in your face, blatant filth! ?

A very careful application of silicone eater might tidy the bricks up a bit. Should have masked up first I guess!

I'll admit to resorting to a surgical glove dipped in a water / washing up liquid mix to finish things off!

A smidge of aluminium anti seize on the M4 screws:

A horse shoe of silicone grease:

A good hard rub round the rim with a moist toilet tissue to get rid of the excess lube...and roughly what it'll look like finished.

Still awaiting someone coming back who's hopefully laser cutting me some Celtic cross washers to go under the stainless dome nuts!

I make a point of taking any rough edges off with a needle file/emery cloth.

Nothing worse than sticking you finger in a hole and pulling it out covered in blood.

Yes be careful! . I’ve fingered a few rough holes before and have cut myself quite badly ?

The unfortunate thing with these steels is they were never galvanised originally. I'm a bit concerned about internal rust over time. As much as anything it, the rust, might drip out of the open bottom.

Planning to squirt something up inside like Waxoyl or more likely ACF50.

Cap stones can go on next!

...after I've given the bits of steel box I can reach inside the pillars a coat of car body underseal. I hopefully won't be getting to them again.

That is until the Tesco, Amazon, DPD etc van driver, destroys the pillar(s) one day! ?

I still need to figure what I can paint onto these relatively freshly cast cap stones. I thought something breathable but a painter at work reckons I should apply a proprietary sealer then a masonry paint?

I want them to end up painted black.

No it won't...hopefully!

I won't be posting up for instance where all the power, access control, camera stuff is being run specifically.

Test "washer" laser cut out of mild steel. One of these in stainless will go under the dome nut above the down lighter.
