Pocster
Usually all these cheap Chinese brands don’t tend to last very long or perform especially well . I had a reolink camera fail in warranty . Expecting the usual poor customer service I was very surprised. No issues - received replacement. The video doorbell out of warranty has issues I’ve been trying to sort with them . Eventually they offered up a replacement! Considering it’s well out of the warranty period I was really surprised. So for once - reporting good customer service and warranty!

I can repair it and it’s ok for a few days then fails again . My doorbell is also in a very sheltered place . Whats yours doing wrong ? Alan Ambrose
I have a bunch of Reolink cameras. All good except for one that I dropped - and I mean to take that one apart sometime to see if I can fix it. My latest acquisition on a whim was a 'Go Ranger PT' for the plot - there's no services there atm. Battery and solar panel and 4G and pan and tilt. The battery seems to be held up fine by the solar panel, pan and tilt covers the whole plot (I was thinking I might need two) and the recognition of cars and people is very good. Modern day magic if you ask me. I took care to check the best provider for 4G signal and bought the camera when there was a special offer.
Canski
My first solar powered Reolink camera failed due to the antenna becoming disconnected. My second one is fine but hasn’t charged in the last 2 weeks due to the weather I guess.
Alan Ambrose
That’s interesting, this is what mine looks like. I am careful not to access it for long.
Kelvin
My Reolink doorbell stopped displaying a picture at night as if the IR lights had stopped working but they were fine. I marked it on the todo list to sort but it seems to have fixed itself. I have a Reolink Go Plus with a solar panel that isn’t even oriented in the most efficient way and the battery charge rarely drops below 100%. Pocster
I’ve given up with their doorbell ! Reliably getting it to pair with the chime is impossible! . Tried to circumvent this issue by not using the chime and have the button push call a notification in home assistant . Much better ! But still the doorbell can ‘freeze’ on a button push and therefore no event triggered ! Reolink have been awesome . Told them it was crap and they said to return for a full refund ! So ! Need another video doorbell , poe , no subscription crap , no cloud based crap , works would be nice !

ProDave
My door bell works perfectly, it has never failed to work, it has never needed a software update, it has never frozen, if does not need any setup or configuring. The bell connects to the button with 2 very fine wires build in at first fix wiring stage. WHY do people choose to make things complicated?

-rick-
How about this for an idea: get a CCTV camera covering the door and get a traditional wired doorbell (can hook up to a HA input or ESP32 if you want)?

I did have something like that right at the start . Even bought a modern I.e expensive push button . I didn’t like it . Camera too big ( even though it was a small dome ) and didn’t match the button . Reolink video doorbell behaving itself at the moment Edited December 5 by Pocster
