Radian
Nice one! SO how many leds light on the Grundfos now?
Russdl
Well guess what @Radian . 1 green, 4 yellow LED’s. The pump has automatically gone to ‘high performance’ mode now that it has somewhere to push the water to.

My quarter turn isolation valve was closed. Its now open and the flow rates are epic! In the words of the plumber that installed ours... "...Not checking pump / gate valves are open is 1st year apprentice error. I’ve not had one yet which has caused any issues." Feel free to put ours down as No1 if you wish. ? Glad it got you sorted, bloody annoying that was for me too!
Onoff
So who closed the valve?

(Sorry, I just can't stop laughing ?) In your words back in 2021: My Willis heater UFH was recently commissioned and within a few days the trades were asking for the heat to be turned down. We have no controls for it so it was turned off. A week later, in freezing conditions it was still pleasantly warm inside. Clearly it was functioning then. What changed since, who else f***ed about with it? Sorry, I just can't stop laughing! 😂

Actually, it probably wasn’t, at least not functioning as it should. It had been on non stop for about four days at that point and as @ProDave kindly pointed out on this thread: On 28/01/2022 at 11:07, ProDave said: It was obviously not fully closed then..... The flow was very low, but it had been on for days. The house is passive standard. There were numerous individuals in the house. The above combination is enough to overheat the house in winter. In answer to your question, who knows? Maybe they are dispatched from the manufacture like that. Maybe the plumber fitted it and then closed the isolator (almost completely) but that seems pretty unlikely doesn’t it? So I’ll have to go with theory ‘A’ Stilled pissed myself laughing when I found out what the problem was.
