I'll update more prices later.

I suspect the panels have been more commonly used in commercial settings and are coming across to domestic markets more and more?

Main constructions I can see are as follows:

  • Plywood laminate: 9 mm plywood + 2 mm laminate
  • Fibre Board laminate: 9 mm MDF + 2 mm laminate
  • Plastic hollow core board: 10 mm PVC hollow core / vertical cuboid with decoration facing
  • plastic foam board: 10 mm plastic foam with decoration facing
  • Solid acrylic: 4 mm (with paint on rear face?)
  • Paper Composite: 3 mm paper fibre phenolic resin laminates with decoration facing

I like the look of these because I think I err of the side of plywood, perhaps unfairly:

Another one not to be overlooked.

they do a huge range and allow you to provide your own images, which surprisingly reduces the cost.

Thanks!

WOW. Red snakeskin shower anyone?

I really like the variety. They use a backing tape and silicone as a joint system:

Simon R: have you used them?

Yes, several, I installed them on top of 11mm moisture resistant MDF which I've found to be very stable even in damp conditions. see:

In the end something else!

white quartz gloss, nuance panel by bushboard.

Its a bit "bling" but the gloss finish is easy to wipe.

No trims in the corners. 15 year gaurantee if you follow the rules (use their silicone etc).

It has some sort patented material that is very strong and 100% waterproof. We left a chunk of it submerged in a bucket of water for a few days and it didn't change.

Delivery was annoying. Make sure you check edge of the tongue and groove as they unload. We had a few damaged due to their awful packaging.

quite expensive

I used the Linda Barker range for my bathroom. Was very impressed with it.

It cost me £125 for each sheet. Screenshot_2021-07-13-14-49-24-803_com_miui.gallery.thumb.jpg.7f470f18154d95c06bd3328a2bb1c88e.jpg
