dms100
Hello, We’ve recently had a loft conversion and originally we were going to keep the old roof and tiles but they suggested we had new batons and felt for extra 2k to make it watertight. We agreed to this but if you look in the pictures the roof seems to bow inwards? They said they have corrected it and done what they needed to do but to me it still doesn’t look right - please advise?
ProDave
It's normal for the tiles to kick up slightly as the end tiles are slightly raised on top of the flashing around the roof windows.
Russell griffiths
New battens wouldn’t correct the bow in the roof, your roof would have settled over time, but the section between you and the neighbours wouldn’t droop as the party wall is there. TBH those tiles are very unforgiving for cutting around things like windows, it is always hard to make them look good, always looks a bit clunky.

Big giveaway is the bottom flashing is a bendable metal
DragsterDriver
The velux are too high really- hard to see the back gutters, the tiles are too close to the velux sides-should be 30-60mm gap so the tiles are really kicking up. not the worst job- not the greatest clout match.
