Alexphd1
What options have i got for sealing up a internal (fire) door between the garage and house to cut draught.

The reality is if the rest of the house is air tight and sealed you won't get much draught. In a well sealed house you can open one door or one window and you won't get a draught. Alexphd1
Was hoping for a bit more than that as that's what we have on existing house and it's not great (hadn't considered the air tight side) Would a self closing hinge with a strong closing pull help create a better seal? nod
Could be worth looking at the garage outer door doors
Alexphd1
Do you mean the the garage door for the car, we have a lot of air vents in there so sealing the big door is s bit pointless plus there is a log gasification boiler in there (need ventilation for combustion). wozza
Our door to the attached garage is a plain white upvc fire door - it looks good and seals very well - I believe its what they fit as front doors in blocks of flats.

vfrdave
Bat wing seals like these maybe in the frame https://www.firesealsdirect.co.uk/passive-fire-protection/intumescent-seals/lorient-is1212-batwing-acoustic-and-smoke-seal-10-x-10-x-2100mm-white/?gclid=CjwKCAiAq8f-BRBtEiwAGr3DgYdZAqsDsgCYGJ2YYzrVbXMlU1YXMmwmStMxsA6F_PxajtDhOx-vyxoCw-MQAvD_BwE And drop seal in the door https://www.lorientuk.com/products/architectural-seals/drop-seals I must caveat with I haven't used either yet.
