  1. Unfortunately they do cover it: https://www.pavingexpert.com/faq_fix_loose_flags The suggestion is that you can try but success is not guaranteed.
  2. Thanks, I’m just starting to look at this properly. Did you do a thread/blog at the time?
  3. I think we’re talking about: ?
  4. I’ll have a look. That is cheap if it’s 3.6m long and about 150mm wide. General prices seems to be £50-60per sq m.
  5. please post any decent deals/suppliers. It’s not cheap ?
  6. Geoff the plumber must have been a goth as he only used black wastes.
  7. When I first made the hole, it was more of a squat cross -II- shape. Didn’t have a multi tool and was too tricky at the time to use a jigsaw so close to the bath so had to chain drill, a lot, of holes. Had to add the top left part later for something. Might tidy it all up one day. Stupid idea of the wife who wanted the tile bath panel and I didn’t know how best to do it at the time. I still don’t know how best to do it but at least I now know one way not to do it.
  8. Yeah, I’m more Mr Clumsy.
  9. So foundation... To go round my 4.15m x 3.3m foundation, I’ve calculated I need 32 standard concrete blocks. Mortar wise, my research tells me that I want a 4:1 mix. I won’t need much 1 bag of cement should be plenty (+4 sand obvs). Other option is that a 20kg bag of ready mix mortar should be enough for 20 blocks so I could just buy 2 bags of that. Have never mixed mortar before. Apparently some lime or additive would be helpful as I’m below ground but for 32 blocks and a Wendy house it’s probably not needed.
  10. It was 3 degrees last night which I’ll get away with. Forecast is -1 tonight so I’ve covered it with polythene, Christmas tree branches and old blankets. Why not?
  11. Thanks. It had disappeared up the pipe. Seems to be holding now. I couldn’t see it properly and those corners on the bath support are lethal...
  12. I’m not sure, I didn’t do it. I suspect the waste is solvent weld though. I’ll fish out the black ring to have a look
  13. This joint has given way after 6 years, between the trap and the black waste pipe. Whilst trying to refit the trap it seems that the trap does not grip on the black pipe even when fully tight. The black pipe has longitudinal movement. This could be new (loose clip on outside wall?) and this movement has allowed it to escape from the trap. The black pipe goes straight under the length of the bath through the wall and has a right angle joint outside where it exits. Is there some sort of mix up between this pipe and trap meaning that it’s not gripping? It fits inside the compression fitting but just doesn’t tighten up.
  14. Do you think you could put a bullnose on a standard solid brick with that tool?
  15. Forgot to say it was £130 for upto 1m3 of concrete and I had to pretend to poke and level it for free. He said I’m looking at about £200 for the slab when he comes back.
  16. Yes, that’s my point. I don’t need some high spec Gigabit mesh network thing. Anything with 100megabit, a unit plugged into the router, a unit closest to the garden and a unit in the shed. If it’s going to work, that will.
  17. Cheers. Our WiFi is poor even direct from the router so I don’t need a mega-spec system, probably just something with 3 units.
  18. I’m looking at using the TP Link or Tenda devices to throw WiFi 20m down the garden to my new shed (and to see if it stops the kids complaining about WiFi in the house) Does the device need line of sight to be effective over this distance or can it be on the nearest wall of the house but on the inside of the cavity wall (rockwool batts not foil backed PIR ).
  19. Also, and you’ll have to take my word for this as I don’t have the link, I’m pretty sure age is a factor likely due to the reducing limits on concentration and tiredness. And the OP is not as young as some of us ?
  20. Footings are poured. I was too busy fannying about to get any pictures. The wench has some though. Overnight temps of 2 degrees C ? should be ok... -1 forecast tomorrow night...
  21. The laser of course. (And there’s a meme of the day https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/instead-of-going-to-therapy)
  22. It takes a big man to admit he is wrong. And I am not a big man. (It helped)
  23. This is precisely what I've tried to do with a traditional level. hit the peg, check the level, hit the peg, check the level, hit the peg, check the level, just a little bit more, (expletive deleted), too low. Pull it out and do it again, ad infinitum.
  24. I wouldn't know how to use one them either
