  1. I think I’d want to do it by the book ?. So it would need concrete chambers. There’s loads of fall on the pipe as the ground also slopes in the way of the fall. Thanks for your help.
  2. It’s old council houses. It runs along the back of them, Its not on their sewer maps, i have drawings but not in this device. Its 160mm diameter and at the start of the build over it’s about 1600mm deep and 2000mm deep the other side.
  3. ?. That will be a shame I probably can divert it but it will be very expensive as it’s fairly deep, but if they ask for a right of way easement on the division that will screw it. The rest of us doesn’t have that. I’m on the boarder with Anglian Water I check with them they say they provide clean water but the sewer is Thames Water. Cheers.
  4. One that serves several properties and is within our garden boundaries.
  5. Evening I was just about to submit an application to build my dwelling over a sewer. It’s in Thames water region and I read the guidelines and it says that a new dwelling is not allowed to be built over a sewer !! ?? does anyone know if this is set in stone for Thames Water, as I’m sure it’s been done before ?? thanks
  6. You can fix timber battens on a DPC strip and then fix an insulated plaster board to the battens.
  7. Evening With a TF, When fitting 140mm of PIR between the timber studs, is it best done in one 140mm thk. sheet or two thinner sheets ?
  8. It sounds like what you suggest as It looks like you don’t have a drape in the felt, if anything it’s the opposite. So it could be that melting ice goes into the felt and can’t get away.
  9. ok cheers ! ty.
  10. to save starting a new thread. Due to the delays that I'm likely to have with the Land Registry, I am thinking now that i may do something like this, pour the foundations and build the walls upto DPC level and leave it until LR and the funding is in place. Is any harm going to be done to the walls when being left like this, open to the rain for what could be 6 months ?
  11. So i would say its whatever you are allowed under PD then, you right that you first have to implement the approval, but i don't know about timeline etc.
  12. Is there a condition on the approval stating that is must only be used for a home office and gym, if so it may mean that it does not have PD to change its use.
  13. Just leave be and only deal with it if you have to, it will most likely go unnoticed.
  14. Hi, the glazing company that i work with have been using them for years, so they must be a good quality, and they are nice profiles. J
  15. Brilliant. Thank you ?
  16. It’s in my boundary, a private sewer at the back. Won’t the tee section need to be clay and it’s 150mm pipe and I want to connect a 100mm branch pipe that will be plastic.
  17. That won’t fill enough of the gap, plus don’t forget that This type of insulation shouldn’t be compressed so it’s important for it to be between and then over the joists.
  18. This is what I have been looking for, is this acceptable to connect to a sewer and can you get these in 150mm clay ?
  19. It will be good to try and wrap it in some thin PIR insulation and clad it with Ali flashings to match the windows. But as others said get the rust dealt with first. Can you get dpc taped to it, to lap with the dpc under the frames and the floor dpm.
  20. my list of things to do has just got a bit longer ? cheers will do
  21. yeah would imagine that repairs will be fairly visible. I would be interested to know what the reason is for it when you get them back and find out.
  22. Sorry I don’t know anything about that, other than it was one of the photos the presentation showed of issues that is caused without movement joints. What are your issues ?
  23. i see and understand now, thank you very much J
  24. Thank you, can i ask roughly what size render panels you have, how was the battens fixed and how should they be fixed, so that i can make sure it is right.
  25. Yes cheers. ill have a look for that thread laters. i cant remember if i spoke to the carrier board manufacture, but i can try them. This presentation that i watched put up a couple of scare pictures such as this one !
