  1. Ok. Decided I'll stick some timber in there. The timber to leg ( corner post ) though appears to be some kind of bolt fixing. I'm guessing a hanger bolt of sorts would work; like the perhaps....
  2. Yeah I thought that but prefer metal
  3. After 7 years SWMBO wants me to assemble the dining table . Naturally the brackets appear to have vanished . What should I use here ? So bonds the 2 sides to the leg corner
  4. Just for anyone else! - what a fun day. Documentation suggests Shelly doesn't work with Asus AiMesh - which of course I have. Then Shelly gen 3 doesn't need CoAP so should not be an issue. My shelly is gen 3. Then ( of course! ) shelly HA integration mustn't be the HACs version ( for gods sake someone remove it! as it is obsolete ! ). But if you don't know and install it you then have the fun of trying to uninstall it as it fights you!. Once you win you then install the shelly 'normal' integration and then the (expletive deleted)er works!
  5. This is fun ! Cant get HA to find it and looks like HA discovery of Shelly fails 😵‍💫🥲😕
  6. You can make most things poe anyway . What sensors are you looking for apart from smoke ?
  7. Hmmmm, RC snubber ..... New thing to google - do I need that per output on attenuators?? or 4x mini gen 3 I guess.....
  8. Funnily enough I was just looking at that. I think my Wifi should be more than capable for this application than zigbee. Assume you were indicating the shelly pro 4PM? Could just stick that in the cupboard with a poe feed - then wire the actuators off that.....
  9. I’ve got issues with zigbee relays in cupboards that no matter how many routers I add just can’t get a reliable signal . Thinking about swapping them out for Shelly relays . My WiFi is as solid as my bed sheets on a Sunday morning . Anyone experience any Shelly related issues like dropping connection or just not activating ?
  10. This post is classed as “ work “ . No biscuit ! - stop working !!
  11. Failing that I suppose I could 3d print a cr2 battery stick a wire on either end and then supply 3v off the poe …
  12. So I’m on about installing these in a device and having them usb charging …
  13. D cells was just the screenshot I took - they do all cell sizes . Most zigbee stuff is cr2 . This effectively in theory is charging the battery whilst in the device . So stick a poe usb connector to this and hopefully have a device that never needs the battery changed . Z wave stuff seems to have far more usb chargeable devices than zigbee . Forget all the 5 yr / 2yr battery life on a sensor - it’s pants .
  14. Because she likes pipes 😉
  15. Forums always been full of flakes
  16. Though the liquified gas cooker use may be interesting 🤣
  17. Anyone tried anything like this ? All battery stuff is pants . This in theory sounds good ……
  18. Installed another in the kitchen . Currently on test . Forgot they can be a pain to config as need to add to Aqara app , then HomeKit , then remove from HomeKit so home assistant home kit addon finds them . A few hours of messing then trialing to remove ghosting , late response time etc . Picking us both up in the kitchen sat down ( so minimal movement ) - almost perfect .
  19. Hut a.k.a sex dungeon
  20. I have a habit ( natural ability ) to (expletive deleted) things up. So I will go down this route but VERY carefully ..... 😎
  21. Ooooooo. I do have SetApp but don't know login credentials ( asked my installer for them ). I do have full access via the web portal though.... Once I go down this route I do want a way back ( i.e. incase I (expletive deleted) up ) so that the web portal ToU settings still work... that possible? Cheers! - new thing to play with and break!
  22. This is what confused me . I see “ modbus” I.e additional hardware . Then I also see it on tcp . My SE inverter connection is across their zigbee though - can I still get modbus access ??
