My planning at the time did allow a build footprint to have upto a 1m tolerance - assuming of course you stayed on your land !

Accuracy ; what’s that ? I walked my build perimeter out - said “ that’ll do “ - “ near enough “ . I then added 0.5m width to the build . I then went 0.5m higher than the plans . Enforcement officer was called by neighbors regarding height . As officer knew nothing about the build I told him I had added ufh and the insulation had increased the build height . Problem solved . Tape measures stretch in the heat as does my stride .

I always think a base of concrete or hardcore would be better or at least some concrete slabs to support decking pedestals .

I used plenty of https://ovaeda.com The costs add up with all the fittings though. Just a simple rectangle or something more elaborate ? I can put photos up of my “ almost finished “ decking if that helps ?

Get an architect to look at it . Do a double or quits on a successful application. If it’s an upmarket area with expensive properties then ( hands up if anyone knows what I’m about to say ) you build at least 1 story underground like a king of mofo’s . Pocster knows nothing ; but he also knows best.

Well ! Welcome back for certain ! When I got planning I could have sold the house with the land paid no CGT . With the proceeds paid off a mortgage on a rental property . Live in it , do it up and still have cash to spare . Easy peasy lemon squeezy But that’s boring . So self building would be a bit more of a challenge. So did that . Why take easy route when there’s a hard route ? Because big testies don’t grow on trees they are made ! Pocster out !
