  1. I’ve installed cedral . After yrs it looks exactly the same as the day I installed it . My only gripe apart from cost is you can scratch it easily ….
  2. I originally was going the pile route but the cost was too high . None the less I had to have vibration alarms around the site whilst excavating. I’m surprised this wasnt a requirement in this situation.
  3. Too late ! Agent called him; turned up - then I pay ! . This was ontop my 5k new boiler and flue job ….
  4. An agent I have panicked and called out an official Worcester boiler engineer. He couldn’t fix the fault so just charged the call out fee of ….. £350 !!! Which is insane !
  5. Googled it and shit the bed ! . I assumed there wasn’t much to essentially a ‘canopy’ but clearly there is . I *assume* most likely cheaper to get the scaffolder to do the tin hat rather than a separate company ?
  6. (expletive deleted) me ! How much ! . Is that the price on top the scaffolding ???! . It’s only a canopy ! Terraced house rear stack and render (expletive deleted)ed . Roofer wants 2k including I assume a small Scaff and hop up . But as weathers shit need tin hat …. 🙁 - so additional cost - can’t be another 2k surely !!!!
  7. lol - I remember that night “ fill and finish “ ; also the screams of “ it won’t do huge holes “ …
  8. You bugger ! You said “ wall-hole” not “hole” filling - so I have no advice for your situation
  9. Always Mom !👩
  10. Now how did I know that might be taken out of context . Though tbf I giggle at “ gel box “ anyway …
  11. The white one is a moulded plug I.e part of the camera . Other side is a potential issue . I’m going to remove the joining sleeve and just put male and female together in gel box .
  12. Yous da man mofo fella !
  13. Ordered a wago gel box ( 20 quid ffs ! ) . Only one that seemed large enough . Will report back .
  14. I’ve tried that before . Ended up getting moisture in the bag - though if not ‘out in the open ‘ might work . My connectors whilst under some cover are exposed …
  15. What about a wago gel box or similar ?
  16. F me acf50 worked ! I was sceptical because after spraying then cleaning with a cotton bud the connections still looked discoloured . But what now ? . I could ( as mentioned ) fill it with Vaseline - but won’t that dry out ? Any kind of box ( unless airtight ! ) will still be subject to atmospheric corrosion on the connectors ….
  17. You are from Suffolk . But you ain’t old 👍
  18. Bumtastic
  19. This bad boy ? Presume it is a pen literally I.e not going to run down the bath … ?
  20. SWMBO claims I did it . I didn’t ! It’s not like tiles and tools would be put in the bath is it …. 🙄 Strange how it appears blue ! . Any magic repair pen I can use ??
  21. Actually - this is the best solution
  22. If you feel ‘advanced’ you could go down the home assistant route . I avoid where possible battery sensors - though the current zigbee ones seem to be lasting over a year .
  23. Hep20 then go home ! Easy peasy
  24. Acf50 ordered ; box and gel crimps cancelled ! if the acf50 works - I will box that connection joint eventually. Let’s wait and see what happens !
