Nah, Only need the VM when I need to use crappy windows software for editing.

Ffs ! Synology can only create a vm on a brfs system ! . Mine are ext4 to make it simpler for anything to access the nas !! qnap ( sigh ) does allow vm on ext4 ! ?

Added a temp placement for a wall mounted iPad . Front end crude and unfinished but basics work ! Later will swap HA to raspberry pi HomeSeer where everyone is sure to like me !

Thanks the next terminal is labelled on the unit as Q . Online says Q is “output terminal of the load “ So dry contacts on in and q ? Just double checking before I electrocute stuff ( would be much happier if they did a 12v dc powered relay ) .

@ProDave need your assistance again if you don’t mind . I thought I should ask as this is 240v mains - I’d rather it was 12v So ! I stick 240v L and N to it no probs I want to close a dry contact I.e not stick 240v into the attached device !!! ( this is what worries me ! ) BANG ! ? So , am I correct I put my 12v dc 2 wires on S1 and S2 ? . Simple as that ?? I’m not use to these tiny relays taking 240v - their size makes me think “wont it overheat ? “ or “where’s the big transformer ? “

I'm tempted to go for homeseer on a raspberry pi. The 'designer' software is windows only ( urgh! ). So could in theory run that VM. The designer software is expensive!
