Fibaro switch wiring lack of knowledge!
Pocster replied to Pocster's topic in Networks, AV, Security & Automation
Ok ! Not quite there ! Got the resistors . Put one on the + output 12v . Psu doesn’t short now . So button push illuminated . When pressed not illuminated- all great . The fibaro input sensor doesn’t change state though ( its always on ) . I put the in1 sensor on ground ( which runs to psu , button push switch ) . That’s correct isn’t it ?? -
(wired) Home automation market is a bit cr*p
Pocster replied to gc100's topic in Networks, AV, Security & Automation
I have wired radial for lighting and mains just so it’s easier for me to isolate problems . Any device ( say a heater in a bathroom ) goes radial back to a z wave din . Whilst you may be against more EM z wave is your friend ( though I power everything poe - forget batteries ) . Unlike some states in the US we do seem adverse to home automation. Raspberry pi / Mac are all good . I think why it’s not fine here is most people can’t think of more than a motion sensor turns a light on - that’s the extent of HA for them . The restriction is your imagination ( and money and patience ) -
I am the upstand master ! ( That doesn’t mean I know anything mind ) . For my walk on glazing ( stop laughing ) I had some firrings made to generate the fall . To insulate the upstand I’ll line it internally with aerogel.

MVHR condensation drain
Pocster replied to Pocster's topic in Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
All done . I’ll just glue a 90 on the end outside . What’s the best way to patch round the hole ? Or is the answer white ct1 ? -

The parts supplied for the drain don’t fit ( always worries me when official parts don’t seem right ) Anyway this is the drain ( yes , the arrow is facing the right direction ? ) . Green X marks my drill hole to the outside world -

Super ! Makes an easy job easier ! ? -
About too look at installing this . Seems simple enough . Am I ok to run it straight through my timber frame wall and outside ? . This would be *much* easier than trying to get it to the internal drain . Any issues with this ?

Should be banned for that !

Added a UPS to the Nas . Probably run a few other things off it like poe router and home automation cpu

Wine ( not the one you drink ) isn't 64bit unless you compile yourself (f that) On site mc is just i3. At home tried on my i7. Fiddled a LOT think it might be usable. At least I'm no longer swearing at Cortana and a juddering mouse pointer....

Of course I’ve seen it ! Use to work in the games industry. Know some people who have dev units .... Stunning number crunching going on

Ps5 for gaming ?

Good ! If you were a windows man I’d tell you to jump ! So for this windows software I might have to buy a cheap laptop anyway ffs !
-
You have a Mac ? And you TOUCH windows ?!?!?!? ?
-
Ahhhh. I only use Z wave for comms from sensors etc. - it's REALLY reliable. Everything is poe powered; though so no batteries... I even have Z wave in my rentals. So it must be pretty good or I'd bin it.
-
Z wave . raspberry pi or mac as server. Save A FORTUNE!
-
You could of almost put 1 tile up in that time also.

Don't know. Finally after 10000000000000 hours windows appeared. Bearing in mind I've not actually installed the software I want... The mouse pointer is real jerky and frequently just stops with the spinny shit thing. That typical of Windows?

“Leave everything to us” wft ! . Who ? . Crap coders ? shite OS owners ?

I can actually feel my cells dying as I wait . I hated windows when it was ‘98 and XP - now it’s even shitter !
