Been fiddling with my NUC It’s very small and boots very fast ! Trial version of HA on it . Testing it at home not on site so need to grab some z wave stuff . Certainly seems neat . Had trouble trying to Remote Desktop to it with official Microsoft crap . Swapped to team viewer . Fiddled a bit seems reliable . It would seem though in Win10 you can’t turn off updates without playing with the registry which sounds ropey to me .

Ummm and ahhhh HA software is raspberry pi or PC based . The front end designer though is windows based . I tried I really tried to ‘accept’ windows in VM on my i7 Mac . I can’t do it - moving the mouse is making me weep . So ! For not much cash went for a INTEL I7 10TH GEN NUC Plenty of power for HA ; also designer software will run . Now at least I can move the mouse pointer in a Windows environment without swearing ( as much ) . Order placed .

Guy who installed it said to box it in and provide an access hatch. He will also supply Co2 alarm. I'm confused why would a flue pipe that's airtight where it bridges the roof etc. need "ventilation" ?. It's not a problem the hatch itself won't be airtight so is ventilation.
