No Tenant Access Ever ! ( just in case I didn’t make it clear )

Erm , I did try to be ‘knowledgeable’ Now you’ve shown me up ! . In theory the install completes Monday - perhaps I’ll know by then ????.

Essentially as I understand it ashp ( fan ) is placed a distance from the property . Inside is effectively a Uvc .

Tile Backer Board or Marine plywood?
Pocster replied to Snowbeetle's topic in Bathrooms, Ensuites & Wetrooms
Delta board for me . Easy to cut ; water resistant ( not waterproof ) . Light weight - tiles seem to stick to it ?- 10 replies

Sure spend a bit extra on floor tiles for the ensuites - it's only a small area. I think I was just suggesting that any reasonable floor tile will do the job if laid correctly.

I am just a man doing the impossible...

If I was just doing a bathroom I’d struggle and strain to get the tray in with no winch . Building an entire underground house on your own is hard work - I do *try* and make it easier ?? ; I just have the knack of making it look even harder ?
-
Many years ago ( before the build ) I slipped my disc . Since then twisting / bending have been limited and painful if I push . Strength is fine if I protect my back - I can bench press 100kg . But if standing up I try and put 20kg above my head my lower back has an issue . So - extra caution with heavy things .... ????
-
That tray in the ensuite - which I can manage easily on my own was in/out a dozen times ....
-
Yes . And the worlds shortest power lead !
-
I had to move one of my walk on glazing units at 150kg on my own . Got it in the frame and realised there was an issue so had to lift it out . Not fun and dangerous . So lesson learnt . Also I’ve become quite attached to my back . Once I can do . Multiple times ( I.e twice or more ) find a better solution . Time spent on this will save me later !
-
Sure . But I still would need to lift it in and out a few times . That’s hard on your own ! Rather have a method I can use many times .
-
That quick ! Only 3 years !!!! ???

I’ve not worked out where the shower drain is going ( need to break through blocks ) . Not sure of tray height I.e on floor . Need to timber out the marine ply that the tray sits on . So need tray in/out as I do these things !
-
It’s ok - but thanks . I need a way to lift it in and out many many times ....
-
To finish the entire build ? ?
-
Finally my “crane” winch arrives . Project crane temporarily on hold . Project lift heavy shower tray safely in action . The further I proceed the less confident I become . Tessties at minimum size ...
-
Would be awkward to tell her that with a knife stuck in my neck ?

N dremel hours later Presume these grout lines are clean enough ? . Assume I can over grout and have the lines fractionally wider than the line . What I don’t want is white bits of adhesive showing through coloured grout

Life is like a box of chocolates You always get a (expletive deleted)ing nut in them Run Pocster Run !

Funnily enough the new winch turned up today ! SWMBO though wants to see tiles on the wall not a crane ?
-
Yeah - but , you know . Next time !!!!
-
Do not do this ! Been there seen that ! Fire !!!! Aaaaaggghhhh DO NOT DO IT Put a lock of the loft hatch so only you have access
-
That’s what I think also . But ! We have SWMBO factor !!! . The tiles do appear surprisingly different colours from varying angles . But they look mostly grey to me - SWMBO obviously has superior eyes and sees a different colour ?
