  1. Sure . But I still would need to lift it in and out a few times . That’s hard on your own ! Rather have a method I can use many times .
  2. That quick ! Only 3 years !!!! ???
  3. I’ve not worked out where the shower drain is going ( need to break through blocks ) . Not sure of tray height I.e on floor . Need to timber out the marine ply that the tray sits on . So need tray in/out as I do these things !
  4. It’s ok - but thanks . I need a way to lift it in and out many many times ....
  5. To finish the entire build ? ?
  6. Finally my “crane” winch arrives . Project crane temporarily on hold . Project lift heavy shower tray safely in action . The further I proceed the less confident I become . Tessties at minimum size ...
  7. Would be awkward to tell her that with a knife stuck in my neck ?
  8. N dremel hours later Presume these grout lines are clean enough ? . Assume I can over grout and have the lines fractionally wider than the line . What I don’t want is white bits of adhesive showing through coloured grout
  9. Life is like a box of chocolates You always get a (expletive deleted)ing nut in them Run Pocster Run !
  10. Funnily enough the new winch turned up today ! SWMBO though wants to see tiles on the wall not a crane ?
  11. Yeah - but , you know . Next time !!!!
  12. Do not do this ! Been there seen that ! Fire !!!! Aaaaaggghhhh DO NOT DO IT Put a lock of the loft hatch so only you have access
  13. That’s what I think also . But ! We have SWMBO factor !!! . The tiles do appear surprisingly different colours from varying angles . But they look mostly grey to me - SWMBO obviously has superior eyes and sees a different colour ?
  14. Fiddly door return tiles done . Few mm out at the top - but I’ll just over grout to hide that .I have to say it’s all looking pretty good . Been also cleaning out the tile gaps with the dremel ( reckon I’m good enough with that to be a dentist ) . So just wall pockets to do .Time to conquer the bathroom now ??
  15. This bottom tile seemed to have tipped . Came out surprisingly easy as adhesive not rock hard yet !
  16. I find that really risky . Because you can move or flick out a spacer . I do water brush down the faces and any ‘safe’ gaps . Will just dremel each line .
  17. Yes . Waiting for silver ct1 to arrive then will do them
  18. Not going to SWMBO wants biscuit - I think that means beige . I’d prefer grey
  19. Ensuite fully tiled now Now need SWMBO to choose grout colour ? Presume I need to clear out all tile gaps of adhesive
  20. Can’t . It’s a kerdi board premade thing . Slicing out the bottom shelf for maybe 4mm sounds risky to me . Probably just cut the trim back off so it can sit lower somehow
  21. Tricky tricky Rather than have the skinniest of tile under the top recess I let it go ? ( beneath dewalt torch ) So either cut trim back off so I can mount it lower or cut a skinny tile and have a grout line either end ? lesser of 2 evils ?
  22. B a s t a r d s ! This is MY bathroom thread ! - you lot got my brexit thread closed you (expletive deleted)s
  23. Oh f u k it ! I’ll just grout and silicone on top Mummies too angry now to listen
  24. Anyway ! Say I use Mapei silicone and grout of the same colour - do they *really* match ?
  25. Ok ok ok So why not ct1 then silicone just on the corner ? . My only point really is grout could crack ( though silicone will hold it in ) ; but ct1 won’t . Either way silicone is final layer . Mummy said she has a headache and you should (expletive deleted) off now .
