Saniflo alarm not adequate
Pocster replied to Pocster's topic in Networks, AV, Security & Automation
Success ! The alarm box presumably to save power will only audible alarm for 10 seconds . But with the zigbee dry contact input I get HA to get voice assistant to repeat 10 times to annoy and a notification to my phone . -
Oh no ! It’s a @SteamyTea long post that everyone just scrolls by .

Yes . It requires dedication. Skills beyond the average human . Spirit and gumption. All the skills I possess . -
I think you are right . More discoveries are certain . Signs of Inca temples ? . Decomposing bodies of neighbors ? , bag of dodgy VHS tapes ?. We can but speculate

Suck on that Time Team !

Cleared out that section . Ripped up my old concrete as too deep to put pavers back . Fantastic discoveries were an embedded breaker bit and a mysterious piece of timber .

Single SAT dish/multiple receiver setup anyone?
Pocster replied to BotusBuild's topic in Networks, AV, Security & Automation
No no no . Planning for IT / tech stuff is good ! 😊 . But I would drop the dish . Streaming is the way to go . If cables are a problem get a good mesh network . I do this for when I can’t be arsed to fudge another cat5 cable in . Just wire or wifi each tv then an upgrade Netflix / Apple / whatever account for multiple devices . -

I changed my mind and bought the ‘standard’ spring type affair . I could get an L bracket of some sort to mount it flush with gate . But if I mount it skewed on the wall will it still work ? In my mind the physics are the same . But rather than drill and find out thought I’d ask first . I could mount the spring lower so the spring is more inline . Does it matter if it’s at the top , middle or bottom ? . 🤔

A roofer has confirmed the crack is structural. But the assumption is apart from the roof leak some movement may have occurred . Talking to some neighbors all appear to experience something similar . Houses are 1890 - so typical perhaps ? £500 gets me scaffolding up ; then roofer can giggle as he quotes for the work once investigated

No cracks on the ground floor anywhere . photos to follow

I don’t

I’ve asked the neighbour to take a look on their side . We had a similar crack there before but not so prominent. It seemed to appear after water ingress . Roof leak was ( supposedly) fixed . I left it for a year to make sure dried out 😊. Decided time to get that bit redecorated. Was done about 3 weeks ago . Here we are again though . Tenanted property but believe no anti gravity devices present .

They finally conceded ( in their non admission way ) and am due a £50 refund for an unnecessary epc .

Thanks . I’ll change the shade - FIXED !
