Yes . Something pretty much like that .

In the ceiling 😊 They are much larger than I thought . Was going to cut strips of osb - stick a hole in it . Mount speakers to that . Then sit on the metal T bars that support my suspended ceiling . Cut tile to suit . They might vibrate on the T metal - will wait and see .

We’re going to go on until I fix this - possibly thousands of pages …
-
1st coat done , will do 2nd later today tbh I’m even more sceptical this will fix it . Rain tomorrow so I’ll get a free test ! I do have a new theory on what might be going on , but I’ll keep that under wraps for the next episode!

Hmmmmm . Had long light showers last night and it leaked . It’s concerning because that corner wouldn’t have pooled I don’t think and the concrete is right up to the roof edge . Though not bitumen painted wasn’t expecting that …..
-
See @Nickfromwales I was being all grown up with no rude stuff then others spoil if for me 😢
-
Had a few ( at swmbo’s request ) . Shite . Battery fails , lights not exactly illuminating the cupboard . If I really need to delve deep into the recesses I use my headband led light .
-
next to the quoin you mean ? . Yeah I’ll rake that and bitumen paint into it
-
Only if it works ! Starting to drizzle a bit so zero chance of floating any fall on it now
-
Bit tricky . But I will bitumen paint up the wall and stone a bit . I’ll thicker paint at that junction also to create a slight fall .
-
Agree . Thanks for calling my stonewalling historical 😊
-
Cleaned it out . Didn’t need to go very deep until I hit some concrete ( presumably poured after the slab just to fill in the trench around it ) . That bit I painted bitumen on had some very loose stuff under the edge . Flipped that out and there is a potential gap there . So going to fill will concrete but keep it lower than the asphalt and then bitumen the lot tomorrow.
-
I’m going to dig out that mot1 area infront and to the left and right a bit . Try to pull the membrane back a bit . Fill that with concrete . Then bitumen everything so the bit in blue will be concrete
-
-
Exactly . What to do ? . Dig out and fill with concrete ?
-
Compacted mot1 I think
-
Forgot I’ve got some of this It’s the rough ground an issue - but it’s unlikely to move - just (expletive deleted) this over the lot ( professionally speaking )
-
But what about the compressed loose ground between them ? . Remove replace with concrete or just (expletive deleted) liquid rubber over that also ?
-
Think what I might do is cut back the membrane for the 1st row of pavers . Dig it out , put concrete in . Then bitumen from asphalt over that .
-
Or perhaps a piece of flat outdoor plastic laid under the membrane upto the edge of the asphalt. Might give a better seal if bitumen ( or liquid rubber ?? ChatGPT keeps changing its mind ! ) - ??????????
