I did wonder about the heat - must be punishing on a self build. 70k for outsourced labour is pretty good. So all the finishing e.g. tiling, boarding, fitting out, bathrooms, kitchen etc. etc - you doing that?

What do you reckon your Labour costs will be ? . Assume you aren’t doing any of the build ??

I have a core drill . It’s a slow and messy job . In the end I bought a really decent masonry drill bit and simply multiple holes I.e stitched the hole out . Was less effort and certainly less dust .

Was due to go to Antigua- but Covid came along . Perhaps if we go this year I can visit !? . Am I allowed to ask your budget ?

I did ask what would be required to allow others to export more than the standard 3.8. She said extensive upgrade to infrastructure and sub station. So cost saving of not upgrading appears to be the factor . If this is true for a large majority of the country then it’s a severe limiting factor . “Fill yer boots “ but please don’t export too much 🙄

Only what I was told when I was given the choice . Cost differential at the time was minimal, so I choose efficiently over appearance . Tbh my panels are jet black and look ok too me anyway .

Excellent point . I asked my DNO what would happen if all my immediate neighbors all requested pv and export . She said their export limits would be capped lower than mine I.e so the infrastructure could cope with a potential for maximum export . So yes - do it sooner rather than later .
