For my many sins it’s finally time to come back and address this light well . Let’s get the laughter out the way - yes it will have walk on glazing .
As you can see it’s concrete with some PIR at the top . The concrete shuttering warped during the pour so it’s not level ( 2nd one is much worse - but that’s a problem for another day ) .
How best to line / prepare - possibly for tiling . Roofers batten vertically ( to get over the bow ) then tile backer board ??
I’m not sure . That’s why I’m asking . Though I did mean infra red electric powered not gas . I thought the principle was exactly that “ heat you not the world “ and you said it .
I know it’s not exactly the weather to think of this but am planning ahead !
Want to be as energy efficient as possible so no patio gas bollocks .
Anyone experienced the infra red heaters ? ; heat the organic mass not the air …????
Got it ages ago for the bathroom . No packaging . Think it’s called delta board . No idea of spec - but if sold for bathrooms assume not rated for frost proof . Best not use ? . It’s outside but below ground ; so frost much less of an issue . Or just use some osb ?
Got to box in some external pipework . Planned to make a timber frame and then fix tile backer board to it ( I have plenty spare ) . I assume backer board externally if not exposed to the elements is ok ?
@Radian
Some photos for you . SE guy came back a week or so ago to just “ do some labelling “ . I didn’t pay any attention- but look ! A schematic!!!!!! 😝
Or.....
Many years from now new owner decides to replace shower. Plumber takes up tray and says what a fantastic , incredible , professional job. Nick gets all the praise and not me.....
It’s all a bit like my shower tray . Underneath on the supporting boards I painted “ @Nickfromwales was here ; buildhub.com “ . So when it leaks many years from now the plumber will know who to blame .
