  1. 😎 minor point! - website is (expletive deleted)ed anyway! ; I can't order even if I wanted too. I'll keep looking!
  2. Right! https://insulationandlagging.co.uk/Acoustic-Insulation/Acoustic-Insualtion-Pipe-Wrap/Acoustilag-Acoustic-Pipe-Lagging With sensible delivery cost. I need 6m ; but 1 roll does 4.8m around a 110mm pipe - so I'll need to stretch it a bit. Maybe acoustic lag mainly at junctions of pipes?
  3. Cheaper product but delivery 60quid! Used https://www.temati.com/calculators/surface-pipe-sqm/ to work out quantity!
  4. @Thorfun Looking at this https://flooringwarehousedirect.co.uk/product/superlag-superflex-prime-acoustic-lagging-wrap-silver-foil-2m-x-1-2m/?attribute_pa_thickness=50mm&attribute_density=5kg+per%2Fm2&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2-2eBhClARIsAGLQ2Rk8JXCzfhgnG6b7cpO6tOPwrcM4EI2DXXJafnb3c8lzBk1hU4e1VzcaAmWREALw_wcB Not sure of delivery costs yet!!!
  5. Β£54 quid delivery!!!!!
  6. All you hear tbh is water flow
  7. @Thorfun Spoke to a few companies and decided to go for this: https://www.soundstop.co.uk/ZTECFT55.php
  8. Flue installed but won’t be used . Currently a nice hole in the beam and block . Was going to cram some pir in there and foam it . That ok ? Don’t want bco seeing the stack and then complaining I haven’t sealed it correctly. Or is there a better ( proper ! ) way to do this ?
  9. Cooked dinner for you
  10. So was aids
  11. Yeah ; I wonder that at first . Cheap n easy ! - might try that first . Itches your face like (expletive deleted) when installing though , yes ?
  12. Was referring to my postcode . So (expletive deleted) you
  13. Just got an email about this …. Β£2.50 a kwH ! πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„ ; might be BS
  14. No pun intended !! πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„
  15. Yeah that sounds promising.
  16. Only a suspended ceiling so not expecting that to dampen sound much . Assume I could wrap the pipe in something tbh
  17. My nice black poo pipe below the beam and block can be quite noisy when a toilets flushed . What should I use to lag it and reduce the noise ??

    No neutral

Magic ! My sparky did it right ( I may have told him I need a neutral - I can’t remember ) . Well pleased ! . Once I install quality smart switch from land of the rising sun I can remotely turn the light off to annoy SWMBO !
  19. I knew a man who had a stroke . I told him not to touch it ! 😘

    No neutral

No πŸ™„ ; on my build ! I took a bedroom socket off the wall ( SWMBO insists on β€˜ real β€˜ switches in the bedroom ) . Unless I’m wrong - is that indeed a neutral there ?? 😎

    No neutral

Multiple lights wired in parallel I assume
  22. Yeah . Perhaps I’ll just paint the floor gold - that would do

    No neutral

Am I correct uk lighting circuits generally have no neutral ? If I remove my wall switch what am I looking for to see if there’s a neutral ? ( 3 wires instead of 2 ??? ) . Trying to sort a smart switch dimmer - but impossible with no neutral …?
  24. Yeah I know it's not a real issue - just bugs me... ( basically they screeded too high - I asked them to allow 15mm for tiling ). Have seen them at Β£120 a sq m !!!
  25. Probably not. But it does mean a slight lip going from inside to outside over the sliding door threshold. Whilst ultra thin tiles would probably solve my issue I think the price may make me live with a minor 'step'
